Finally enough power delivery

I've been using this cable with my 2019 MacBook Pro (4 Thunderbolt ports) and it's been a game changer. After months of frustration with various docks, KVMs, eGPUs, USB dongles, and a mountain of cables, nothing seemed to work reliably. I tried 4 docks, 3 eGPUs, 2 enclosures, and countless cables. Just as I was about to give up, I found this cable in my laptop bag, a backup I had ordered and forgotten about. Plugging it in, all my connectivity issues disappeared like magic.

Most other Thunderbolt cables in this price range are braided, stiff......thick.....When shopping for "the best cable", you look at these cables and think "oh yeah this chonky boy will do" but it won't. It won't do.

The package itself was fine but the item itself suffered some type of friction damage causing it to fuse with the plastic packaging and even misshaped one end as shown in the pictures.

I know saying I love this cable sounds odd but I'm so sick of bad cables and I was nervous

What I love:
* It's marked with a thunderbolt symbol so I know which cable it is
* You can wiggle it without the CalDigit 3 disconnecting (the cable that came with the CalDigit disconnected if looked at it funny)
* they have a good feel and flex to them, not a noodle but also not overly stiff.
* I seem to have a good connection through to my Thunderbolt KVM in the other side of my CalDigit dock.

I just wish they made a longer version.

It actually is a real, honest-to-goodness Thunderbolt Cable!

If you own an LG 5k Monitor you KNOW how finicky the monitor is when it comes to cables. For many, only the cable that originally came with the monitor will wake the monitor up when connected to a Mac. Many cables on Amazon say they're fully Thunderbolt capable. This Cable Matters cable is the only one I've found that will drive my LG 5K Ultrafine Monitor

Fits my iPhone 15 Pro with case on and charges at PD 3.1

Tons of choices for thunderbolt 4 cables on Amazon, but I settled for this one because it was the cheapest one with good reviews. I can attest it fits my iPhone 15 pro with a third party case on snuggly. (You can dangle the iPhone 15 pro with the cable plugged in). The transfer speeds are good, I tried transferring thirty 60 megapixel raw photos from my Sony mirrorless A7RIV camera to my 15 Pro to edit with this cable and it took 30 seconds. With my regular apple usb-c charge cable, it took 1 minute. It’s definitely faster, but roughly just twice as fast in real world tests.

I also tried charging with the cable to my power bank that takes in PD 3.1 and it was charging it at close to 140W, hence the 240W capacity was correct. I’d recommend this if you just got yourself a new iPhone and wanted to get a way to quickly transfer files over.

Nowhere on the packaging or on the cable itself does it say "Intel Certified".

Ordered this as I thought I was getting a Thunderbolt 4 dock from work, but instead they sent me the updated USB-C. Used the USB-C cable that came with it until now. My main monitor would go to a balck screen for a few seconds every now and then. Tried switching the factory USB-C with this Thunderbolt 4 and have had no issues since then.
