My original review on this desk still holds. For my purposes, it does not work. However, I will add that customer service saw my review, reached out immediately, and offered a full refund. That's certainly better than a lot of companies would do! A+ on customer service. With a little work, I do think this desk could be really great.
Is it ok? Yes. Would I buy it again? No.
After a few months with this desk, I've come to realize a few things about it.
One. There's no way to adjust the height, which is incredibly inconvenient if you work from different places. I like working from my bed and from the floor, but since you can't adjust the height, it can get a little awkward and uncomfortable.
Two. The legs are just not sturdy. Let's be honest. This this is cheap plastic and a little bit of metal. There's no reason to charge $50 for it. It isn't particularly well constructed and the design is faulty. The legs don't snap into place, making it a little wobbly. Once in a while, you'll push just a bit too hard and one of the legs will collapse inward.
Three. The little slot where you can put either a tablet or a phone is...ok. It doesn't really fit my phone with a case on and it's so deep that it covers up the screen a bit.
The cup slot is nice, but with the legs being wobbly, I wouldn't trust putting anything not closed or sealed there. The little drawer is fine, but it's super loose and so things go flying out when moving the desk.
All in all, I'd say I wish I'd saved my money for something else. I'm fairly disappointed in this product, given that it has such good reviews and for how much it costs. If it was a $5-10 desk, I'd say it's worthwhile. For $50, though, what a disappointment.
