2.0 out of 5 starsContains sorbitol and phenylalanine.. convenient but wasteful packaging

Since the dawn of COVID I've seen a huge influx of plastic waste. This gum is no exception. Every piece is individually packaged which is nice and convenient but also very wasteful. I keep them in my desk at work as others like to come visit me and always ask for a piece of my gum. It is a lot more hygienic than an open foil pack. But that comes with a cost. I have fond memories of my mother pulling out a piece of gum from her purse covered in cigarettes' tobacco and purse dirt. With this package your gum will stay clean and fresh no matter where you put it. I like the mint variety as they are all so similar yet so unique. My package cost about 11$ which is pretty high considering its 200 pc of gum. But it arrived safely and not expired. The flavor also seems to last a while so I'm not going thru a ton of pieces in a day. My only other concern is the ingredients list. It is so hard to find a gum that doesn't cause me stomach upset. A quick google search of phenylalanine brings up a huge list of side effects like headache, dizziness, nausea. But also the sorbitol is used as a laxative and can cause gas and other stomach issues. Such a toss up for me as it is convenient, tastes great and lasts long. But is it worth the toll it takes on pollution and side effects? Probably not.. I will continue my quest for the best chewing gum.
