If you really like good coffee and the taste that pour over coffee gives you, then this is an excellent option. It's great for those days you're in a rush or you're traveling.
The only bad thing I have to say about this mug is it will not hold 17oz like it claims, with the lid on. With the lid on it can hold 15oz.
It is a little expensive however. I paid $16.98 for it I would say it's worth about $12.99. I noticed that in different reviews of this product and similar, people complained about the filter. There is nothing wrong with the filter. It just takes patience. You use it like any other pour over filter slow and steady gets you the best coffee. It's definitely not for people with zero patients.
The coffee mug is stainless steel inside and out, the outside has a black finish over it. It has a very nice feel as well. The bottom has a anti-slip piece of rubber. The lid is made of plastic and is screw on with a silicone ring. Much better than the push-on kind. It comes with a okay brush for cleaning the filter.
Like every coffee mug I've ever used for travel I would not say this is one designed to be thrown in your bag. It's meant to be kept upright. The lid when closed does put a seal on both the breathing and sipping hole. But it's mainly to prevent large spills if dropped.
I recommend this product if the price drops.
