Reliable MagSafe charging

This charger works great and so much more reliable than our previous one. Our last charger, the phone had to be very precisely placed and any slight movement might make it lose contact. We had quite a few nights with no charging. This one has a decent magnet that holds the phone well and you can rotate your phone at night to see it as a clock. It is also a fast charge. It’s well made and a sleek design. Definitely recommend it if you’re looking for a new charger for MagSafe.

Seems well made but slow

I like that it is solid and well made. Only had it for a day. It took 3 hours to charge my iPhone 15 pro max to get from 72 to 99% seems slower than a cable. I also have air pods pro that have been on the base for an hour that haven’t moved a percentage yet. Will check it later.

I get it. You can't go 5 seconds on the internet without seeing an Anker ad. So when I was looking for a good charging stand for my iPhone, I was a little put off by this one based on advertising fatigue alone.

However, I decided to set that aside, and give it a shot.

So far, I have not been disappointed at all.

The base is solid, and the magnet is strong. I wasn't sure if I'd bother with the airpod charging component, but found that I use that often as well. The one bit of feedback I wish I was aware of before purchasing was that if you intend to charge both devices at the same time, you're going to need a powerful usb outlet to go with this.

I ended up buying whatever the most powerful usb outlet adapter that Anker sold was (despite, again, hating all of the ads...) and this allows me to charge both devices at the same time. I wish they would be more clear about that in the product description, and/or just include a sufficient usb plug in the box. Or ... ditch the usb port altogether and just make a version that allows you to plug directly into an outlet. WHY DOES EVERYTHING HAVE TO HAVE A USB PLUG?

Anyway, it's a great product. It looks nice. It works well. I might buy a second one for my wife's side of the room.

This is a very high-quality product and easily better than the other charging stands that we have.

The tilt function is really nice to use. If you are going to do a FaceTime call with somebody because you can adjust the angle of the phone to frame you precisely and not have to hold it in front of you

I paired my stand with a 60 W USB-C charger that I already had and it easily charges my headphones and iPhone simultaneously. Originally I had tried it with a 20 W charger and it would not charge both at once. It seemed to alternate between one and the other, depending on, which was in a lower battery state ,

For the price I think that anchor should include a high-speed USB-C charger. So I have deducted a star for this.

So convenient. Charges my AirPods Pro and my iPhone 13 pro. Looks amazing, even without the phone on it. Fast and strong magnet.

Only negative is that you have to put your other hand on the base when you remove the phone or you’ll just pick up the whole thing or knock it over violently because the magnet is so strong, but that’s a necessary evil to hold your phone.

Another reviewer mentioned it’s not good to leave your phone on wireless charge and trickle it. This is true, but in my opinion, you can obsess over your battery or you can not care…

Or you can strike a middle ground. I just try not to leave my phone plugged in once it’s full. Same with the AirPods. But regardless, after a few years, your phones battery health will decrease. Even if you obsess over it. So you can accept this and just subconsciously do your best to get an extra few months before you hit around 80% (typically after about 2-3 years) or you can obsess over the battery health and get an extra half a year or so before the battery STILL loses capacity. It doesn’t matter. After 3 years regardless, you should replace the battery or the weigh your options and trade in the phone. My AirPods Pro almost always sit on a charger and they still work fine. But that’s really dumb of me lol.

The point is, your battery will degrade. Yes, you won’t to prolong this, but it’s not a huge deal. I think iPhones have software built in to help with this. I’m not sure though. I’ve been pretty bad about my phone and it’s over a year old and it’s at 94%. That’s not bad in my opinion. I’ll probably get to 3 years before 80%, which is where it’s really noticeable in my experience.

Very cool little device. I had an Anker power cube I'd bought on accident a while ago, so it was nice to be able to use that. It holds my iPhone 15 Pro very securely and it pops right in to the standby mode. The only PITA is taking some kung-fu to take the phone off... but I reckon that's the cost of the magnets being so secure. Bought several Anker products over the years and have always liked them.

This is, in my opinion the best magnetic wireless charger I've had. It's very convenient to be able to charge both my AirPods case and iPhone simultaneously and have them ready in the morning for the day. The phone portion is also elevated enough where I can use the iPhone's "Night Mode" so that I can easily see the display, but also so that I can turn the phone so it's aligned with my face better while in bed so I can see the clock and snooze the alarm if I need to. It's a great product.
