I loved these but had to send them back because, although I wear a 10 and generally do not need a wide shoe, these shoes cut the inside sole of my feet wear the arch support is. There was also some rubbing on the back heal of both feet. In the long run, I was in some pain and discomfort very quickly, in about an hour and I know I'll be walking much more when I go to Burkina Faso. They seemed to be made well but this definitely was a purchase I think would be better to either "try before you buy" or go into the store for a fitting. Amazon made it easy to return and I'm looking forward to trying another one of their hiking sandals in the future.
