I bought this for the QD port, which is pictured. There is no port on either of the two I purchased, nor is the QD port pictured on the Smallrig website either.

I have a large hand and have always been irritated by having my pinky hanging - it does not make my grip feel solid. This addition resolved the problem without bringing much weight (less than 80 grams). It also fits quite well with just a tiny gap barely noticeable on the grip side. I like there is a magnetic key at the bottom to screw/unscrew it. My a7 IV with this becomes very ergonomic to me with a great feeling of comfort.

The product fit the A7RV well and provided extra length for the pinkie finger to grip.
One star is deducted because the tool for the screw that is magnetically attached to the base fell off during the first week of use. The magnet should be stronger or a different method used. When it came time to remove the base I had to find a large flat blade screwdriver.

It’s kind pricy, but worth it. This serves 3 functions

1) Better grip. Now my pinky doesn’t hang off. Grip feels so much better!

2) Has arcs mount on the bottom. This is mainly if your on the Arca Swiss quick release system.

3) It’s compatible with the new DJI RS2 and RSC2 gimble. It does need to slide into the right though, so you’ll need to remove the plate from the gimble first, slide in, then put camera and plate into gimble.

Overall, it’s an awesome product! Wish it $20 instead of $40, but again, it’s functional so to me it’s worth it.
