It's expensive but it's worth it

This card is cool and quiet! I sold my 3080 FE and picked up a 3080ti FE but it ran loud and hot, very hot on the memory (92C). I was going to do a copper plate mod on the 3080ti but instead of spending 300 I returned the card and bought this. It's an extra 500 over the 3080ti when you include the copper mod parts so I figured I would just spend the extra money for a better card and I am glad I did. I have a 240hz G7 1440p monitor and I cap my fps at 240 so my temps don't go crazy at fps over 240hz I can't utilize. The card doesn't hit 70C on the core or memory when gaming (Halo Infinite, Overwatch, Evil Dead, Predator Hunting Grounds, benchmarks). This thing is a beast and if you have the money it's worth it. Mystic Light sucks and the cards RGB isn't very configurable with it so I just uninstalled it. I do like that it came with a brace to prevent GPU sag but I bought an RGB one and don't use it.

Within 5 days of purchasing, the card dropped almost 300 bucks, never received my free spiderman game, and amazon customer service is useless. They would rather me return the item, and repurchase. Seems mighty redundant. I'm certainly not wasting any more time or money with this. Ill gladly return it.

The details are what make the card better than others. They thought abouts everything. It runs cool, and if you have an 8k monitor you can overclock it. I underclock it on my 2k165Hx monitor-and still get perfection in all games I play-with Halo Infinity getting 165FPS pretty much all the time when paired with a 5900x, 64GB DDR4 3600, and some good NVMe drives. I knew they were going to drop in price a little further, but once they are gone I will be glad to have a card that will last for at least 6-8 years. My MSI GTX 970 Golden Edition is still running strong. And this gen of cards was great-nothing like Kepler. I have a ton of CUDA, RT, AND Tensor cores to work on now-this may wind up in my Linux Workstation sooner than later. My MSI RX6800 is still perfect for gaming, but for AI program learning this is a beast. I can run some healthy data sets-in 22.5GB of ECC ram (if you enable ECC in the driver the amount of ram drops from 24GB to 22.5GB-totally worth the error correction). That feature alone makes it almost worth the money. But really they should not gimp the FP64 so much.

Dude this card is bad to the bone. The true color setting and auto OC mode is amazing. Thing runs at 70c at max 4K settings and STILL quiet. The build quality is amazing. Never been a fan of MSI cards since VENTUS and Gaming Trio have been made of cheap plastic but this thing, wow just wow !! The dragon is even made out of glass !!

Man, I was super skeptical about buying this because i know the 4000 series is right around the corner but with the sale i couldn’t resist. Turns out i made the right call because i learned a lot of people are speculations that the 4000 series will need a big power supply and my power supply (850w plus) is almost at max load so if i were to get a 4000 series i would have to invest in a new PCU as well so this is an amazing card it stays cool for an impressive amount of load. 100% buy if you are thinking about pulling the trigger.

If you’ve got the money give it a go! It’s a big gpu, you need to have a big case. I used to run 2 2080 ti in SLI configuration liquid cooled. I replaced them with this, it’s almost unbelievable how much performance I got out of this! It’s amazing, I play all my games in 2k and this thing actually gets 240fps in 2k!
