Customer Reviews, including Product Star Ratings help customers to learn more about the product and decide whether it is the right product for them.

To calculate the overall star rating and percentage breakdown by star, we don’t use a simple average. Instead, our system considers things like how recent a review is and if the reviewer bought the item on Amazon. It also analyzed reviews to verify trustworthiness.

4.0 out of 5 starsGood monitor - struggling with VESA mounting
Reviewed in the United States on November 29, 2020
Overall good monitor for the price and easy to use once set. I am having issues mounting on my current mount as the back is not flat, the screw holes are inside the monitor instead of on the surface and it is only 75x75. Added a picture of the back in case you have ideas. Thanks!

Stick with name brands even if you have to pay a little more. The buttons to adjust the display are under the monitor and way too close to each. The display interface is awful, you’ll end up clicking the non responsive buttons. It’s not 165 hz. The minuscule instruction booklet doesn’t mention anything about how to tweak the display. Just awful!

I love it! I only use it for work, so, can’t comment on gaming, but it is fantastic! The quality seems great. The resolution and the clarity are wonderful. I like the stand and the light on the back of the monitor is a nice feature.

5.0 out of 5 stars True 27 inch Monitor, Excellent Image Quality, Outstanding Colors
Reviewed in the United States on September 25, 2020
Vine Customer Review of Free Product( What's this? )
This is an outstanding monitor for its price. The visible area of the screen measures a full 27 inches. It has high contrast that actually works, the picture quality is outstanding, and it has good range of brightness that it makes full use of and seems able to sustain over a large area of the screen. This monitor is about as close to HD as you can get without actually getting a full HD monitor. During gaming the contrast ratio really makes this a stand out especially when the game play is in dark or night time settings where fine details in the scene are still maintained making games easier to see and play. The AMD freesync connected and worked automatically for me. My only gripe is about the "basic" speaker, which is about as basic as you can get, don't expect to use it for anything meaningful. If you primarily game with headphones, this may be the full solution as the headphone output worked flawlessly with excellent sound quality.

I have spent the last week using this monitor for software dev work and my opinion has solidified in the strong 5 star range. At the end of the day my eye's are less stressed.

There only real input to this monitor is HDMI, there is no display port, and frankly you won't find display port on a 1080P monitor except as a gimmic.

All the details:
The first thing that really makes this monitor a standout is the screen size is a true 27 inches diagonal, the full diagonal size including the bezel is 28 inches. So this monitor is actually larger then my other 27 inch that it sits right next to. (considerably larger)

The picture quality is also very good, again sitting next to my other monitor the difference is like night and day. While the pixels are visible on this monitor you really have to get up close and scrutinize it for them to become noticeable. My similarly priced monitor sitting right next to this one is pixelated, has lower contrast, and the colors are noticeably less saturated.

This monitor seems able to sustain a high nit output over a large area of its surface, this is noticeable from the moment I connected it to windows, many monitors report a high brightness level, but then can only sustain it over maybe 10% of the monitor before it drops off sharply. So while it reports 220 nits brightness, it actually seems brighter then my high end monitor I use for dev work. (that reports 330 nits)

The refresh rate also looks about right for what is reported (75hz), dragging a window across the screen gets some blurring and ghosting, but overall I would rate the "quickness" as very good for this price range.

It has a few unique features that I really like. The first one is how the stand connects to the monitor which I took a picture of. There are 3 screws that hold the stand together, then the round part "clips" to the monitor. Also the monitor is VESA compliant ( I have a gas arm coming for it and will report how it works out once it is connected).

On the back of the monitor is a neat LED glow that I also liked (and didn't think I would). It is one color, red, and can be turned off or set to blink, I have set to just glow.

The builtin speaker is labeled as "basic" and they mean just that. Its usable for only basic or stop gap needs while you get something better. The volume control is hidden deep in the monitors menu system.

The buttons for controlling the monitor are typical, they are their, they are usable, they are a pain. Same for the menu system.

The monitor is curved, if you are new to curved monitors find one to test, some people reject it. Sitting the proper distance from it is a must, this monitors curve works well, everyone who has tested it likes it.

This also has AMD free sync which I haven't tested, and it has gaming "modes" that you can switch to fairly easily. I will update this review when we have gotten a chance to put in some quality gaming time with this.

The panel type is VA which have excellent contrast and picture quality, but are not as "fast" in terms of refresh rate. So for the serious gamer this isn't going to be a top choice, but it doesn't support HD, doesn't have display port and the list goes on, so no serious gamer will use this monitor anyway.

For casual gaming, this is an excellent choice, and is about as close to HD monitor support as you can get without actually having it. It seems able to make full use of the 3000:1 contrast ratio as playing in nighttime scenes had excellent contrast and very little detail was lost. The picture quality was nothing short of mesmerizing. I tested this with the PC version of The Division 2.

BTW most panels are made in Malaysia then assembled in various countries from parts that tend to be sourced world wide so being brand loyal with monitors...

Overall, outstanding for this price, high recommended.

3.0 out of 5 stars If you don't mind not having customer support or contact info
Reviewed in the United States on September 29, 2020
Vine Customer Review of Free Product( What's this? )
Update: 10/06/2020:
I would like to reiterate that the only contact info I could find for the Fiodio company is an e-mail address on the back of the instruction pamphlet (no business address, no contact number). If you are comfortable winging it on you own if something goes wrong this might not bother you. I saw a couple of comments left on negative reviews asking the reviewer to contact them , but no contact info left. The monitor is still working alright but when we decided to buy a vesa wall mount we realized the stand-offs, shown in the product pictures, were not included with the monitor. When I sent an e-mail, asking where I could acquire the stand-offs ,my two e-mails were not answered so we have the vesa wall mount but not the required stand-offs to use it.

Original review:
I think it is logical to assume that Chinese monitors come from wholesale and are labeled with the sellers logo so the innards could be the same for several brands. I'll admit I have been a brand-snob but I am finding, more and more, that the brand names out-source their customer service and they aren't any more dependable .

The Fiodio co. has supposedly been around since 1980 although I couldn't find much info about it. The only contact I could find was an e-mail address. When I asked for product warranty and return policy their prompt answer was :"We provide 12 month quality warranty. During this period, we will offer replacement freely for quality-related issues. If you still have any other problem, just feel free to contact us."

The monitor comes with an HDMI cable, stand and hardware to attach to a vesa wall bracket (not included). The tilt- able stand is a great feature. It has been a long time since I saw a legacy peripheral VGA connection but it is there if you need it. No C,USB or display ports. No noticeable banding or edge light bleed. The speaker is about the size of a peanut but adequate. We route the sound from computer to stereo via optical cable.

The 75hz rate is above average for a monitor at this price. The only monitors I have to compare it to are Benq and that would be an unfair comparison. The five star rating doesn't mean I think it is perfect and will rock your world, but for a monitor at this price I think it an excellent monitor.

I got this to increase my screen for my Dell Laptop.
Here are its dimensions: 27.6 x 6.8 x 17.9 inches
It comes with the monitor stand and HDMI cable.
Stand is very easy to install.
The site currently doesn't show a price so can't compare with similar monitors from other manufacturers.

5.0 out of 5 stars Looks Great, Crystal Clear, Easy to Install. Enjoy!

Vine Customer Review of Free Product( What's this? )
I have never heard of this brand of monitor; however, I love it.

This 27-inch curved screen is both easy on the eyes and crystal clear.

This was easy to install and very simple to connect with my Acer Computer.

Although it is the perfect fit in my room, I have a sneaky suspicion that this monitor is going to find its way into my wife's study.

I recommend this monitor to family, friends, and others who are looking for a curved 27-inch monitor.

Enjoy!
