5.0 out of 5 starsGood quality case, extra fans are nice
Reviewed in the United States on November 13, 2023
Very nice case.

Things I like:
- Easy to remove all panels, no screw driver necessary.
- Mine came with 4 fans including 3 in the front (RGB) and 1 in the back (exhaust, not RGB). I saved some $$'s not having to buy extra fans
- Plenty of room for cable management, allows a clean build
- Just enough connectors on the case (headphone jack, 2 USB A and 1 USB C)

There is also plenty of room for SSD drives and other accessories, but I don't plan on using anything else at this point.

3.0 out of 5 starsPanels need to be thicker, defective USB-A I/O port
Reviewed in the United States on June 24, 2022
NZXT H7 Flow - I had high hopes with this case, it does what its supposed to do but there are flaws that I cannot overlook. Main issues I have with this case is the panels are flimsy, they lose their shape when I pull them off. When laying the panels on a flat surface, I can that it has warped. I'm talking about the top panels and front panels. They could have made it a bit thicker to prevent the bending. Also the second flaw is nzxt cable bar. It is a bit too high, It is so high in fact I cant even tell if my GPU is seated all the way in because my GPU hits the bar. Thats right, it rubs right against it. My GPU is scratched up. I had to use a small mirror to check if my GPU is seated properly and it was not. I have to remove a motherboard screw and pull my motherboard up that way the pci-e locks in place with my gpu.

Update: I found that my case had a defective front I/O USB port. It is the left side, the right side works fine. Make sure you test using a usb drive transfering a large file. It did work with my USB mouse but not the drive. It will disconnect every 1-2 seconds. I reached NZXT and they are sending me a front I/O replacement. Hope it fixes it.

Now on a good note, this case looks nice with a nice power button. Why some manufacturers build decent quality cases that cost over $100 bucks and use cheap looking 10 cent power buttons is beyond me. Also, If you decide buying this case, I highly recommend using 140mm fans only. When using only 120mm fans there is a huge noticable difference in sound running at the same RPM. I tried both setups.

Pros:
-lots of air flow
-made of all metal and glass besides feet (not like whole bunch of cheap plastic like Fractal Torrent and they charge a higher price which is a joke)
-good paint quality not easy to scratch
-good cable management
-tempered glass seems sturdy
-tooless design
-140mm fan compatible at front, top and rear
-includes high quality screws
-great customer service

cons
-flimsy panels that warp upon removal
-cable bar too high and will rub against large GPUs like my Gigabyte Eagle 3080 Ti
-doesnt come with double solid panel option
-had defective front usb I/O port

5.0 out of 5 stars Fabulous Attention To Detail
Reviewed in the United States on November 18, 2022

This case is the best I've ever built a PC in. I've built something like 25 from-components PCs over the years for myself, friends and family, in various cases and combinations of hardware. This case felt amazingly easy to work in and around.

For example, the power supply bay isn't cramped; you can expect to set up your cables on a modular supply and put the supply in with ease. No cramped, hand-banging experience getting inside the case to unplug a power cable.

Mounting a 360mm AIO and the motherboard was a breeze. All panels, front, top and both sides, come off with simple snaps, rather than screws or complicated mechanical fasteners. This means that access to the case interior was simple and everything was easily reachable.

Airflow looks like it'll be quite good. Maybe not the "best possible" airflow, but certainly good enough for most typical thermal loads. It wasn't possible, because of the use case, to mount the AIO in a puller configuration to move warm air out of the top of the case; it had to be mounted in the front, pushing cooler air through the radiator and through the 120mm rear opening. That wasn't ideal for the GPU and motherboard, but it should be fine in daily use and gaming. For overclocking as a daily-driver, I'd say that this case would not be suitable, but if you're a serious overclocker, you're probably doing it with a test-bench rig and custom water cooling anyhow.

Cable management, which to be fair was minimal (motherboard held the boot / storage drives on M.2 slots, so other than the GPU, there wasn't much to plug in) was easy and intuitive. The channels for cables and their velcro straps were well-designed and everything was kept in place without undue cable strain.

Mounting the front-panel connections was about as easy as I've ever seen. For starters, the Power On/Off, Reset Switch, etc., were thoughtfully bundled together into a single plug, so that, for once, there wasn't a need to carefully seat a tiny Power On cable onto motherboard pins. Of all of the things that haven't changed about the ATX standard over the last 20 years, the fact that this is still how things work is sad, but this case gave users a best-in-class solution.

For newbies, the mounting of the motherboard is often the scariest part. NZXT made this almost idiot-proof, by putting a fixed pin into the ATX layout that will make it obvious where the motherboard should be, and when it's located correctly. I think that this could be improved, by making the pin out of a softer material, so that newbies cannot damage the back of the motherboards while figuring things out, but it was well-designed.

Were there any bad points to this case? Its sheer size, perhaps, is a non-starter for a number of folks. It's not quite full-tower, but it's quite large by modern standards. That said, none of that space is wasted; this was a case obviously designed by a good team of engineers. It's perhaps not the quietest case ever designed, either; while the sockets for the panel mounts are very intuitive and appeared to be reasonably sturdy, there will almost certainly be a little extra vibration over time, but that could be addressed with some simple fixes, such as a little pad in a trouble spot. Upon initial assembly, however, the noise levels were totally fine. I'm sure that others will not like the aesthetics of this case- it's basically just a box. But to me, and most other people, the box won't be seen or really noticed once it's built, so I don't care, and the glass side panel is sufficient for showing off a custom water loop or RGB stuff, etc., if you really want people to know how much money and time you've spent on your rig. Personally, I prefer that my machines run silent and dark and don't look worth stealing, lol.

In conclusion: if you're trying to figure out a case to buy, this is far and away the best I've ever seen, especially for newbies trying to assemble their first PC from scratch. The people who designed it clearly understand how PCs are built and thought about most of the major problems really carefully. This is pretty rare, in an industry where most cases are built to be either cheap or aesthetically pleasing, or both, at the expense of function. It's totally worth the asking price.

I've been building PC's for 20 years. This is the best build experience I've ever had. This case is designed by people who have built PC's. There are excellent features & conveniences like I've never had the pleasure of using before. The motherboard stands include one swap so the motherboard is held in place from the get-go by a small peg in place of one stand, and you have one less screw to tighten. The back side for cables includes fantastic cable management and pathing opportunities. I also LOVED the 2.5" SSD mounts on the back of the motherboard tray. I used them in 3 of my builds and they were simple and just EASY to manage. The PSU section is really great, but does not stand out in the industry overall. It just matches best practices. MY RECOMMENDATION: Insert the PSU but do not secure it fully until you are DONE. I found a couple of times when my own modular PSU choices meant I had to remove the PSU to add or change cables for pathing...

The front panel cables are well done, and the tiny one-off front panel connections are a thing of the past! It's not just one more plug very similar to HD audio into the motherboard. That was a very pleasant improvement and saves a few minutes by itself. The USB was new to me, but very simple. I liked that the cable was capped. The included front panel fan was well situated and I had plenty of cable length to route everything exactly how I wanted.

There is a well-designed bay near the front, kind of underneath by the PSU. This is for the 3.5" hard drives or for 2.5" drives with adapters. It was great to use for including my old HDD data drives from yester-year!

I truly had fun building my PC's into this case. I have already highly recommended this to other builders. It's really a pleasure!

Note: 2 of my cases were the RGB version. The RGB is great because of the 3 x 120mm fans in front, but the drawback is that more cable management is required. HOWEVER, this case REALLY provides great features for cable management in those built-in straps. Also, zip-ties are included if desired!

The NZXT H7 Flow is a really fantastic case. Tons of space to work with, fairly easy cable management, great air flow as you'd expect from the name. The metal frame construction is very strong, it doesn't feel like a case that will easily break, dent or bend. Plenty of space for seven or so main case fans (one back, three top, three front); and plenty of space for the 3000 or 4000 series Nvidia GPUs. Modern motherboards attach trivially to the case. The USB ports and power button wired up trivially as well, a 30 second task. Case came with two fans. The positive reviews are correct.

Has room for many fans, a beefy 4080 GPU, vertical stand, and a lot of room for cable management. The only problem is if you wanna mount a CPU cooler to the top, the radiator is thick and can come too close to wires attached to the motherboard at the top. You could of course mount it to the side but then it would change the look of your PC. If only the placement of the motherboard was just slightly lower…..

Nevertheless, great case overall, superior cooling, space, design, and space for cable management.

The NZXT H7 Flow is the case we've all been asking NZXT to produce. Although I have used the H510 in many builds and didn't find them to be the ovens that the internet says they are, I still thought NZXT could produce something better as a successor. What we actually got here was a successor to the H710 case, and I'm OK with that. The NZXT H7 takes design elements from both H510 and H710, and the result is a truly beautiful, yet simplistic and effective design. Upon unboxing mine, I was surprised at the larger size of the case. However, being that the H7 supports 360mm radiators with either front and top mount support, this is about as compact as it could be.

Let's talk about who this case is for. It's not a budget case. This is definitely a mid-tier enthusiast case, at this price point. It is going to be best enjoyed by someone who plans to buy their own fans, and the ditch the included fans. This case would be a great option to show off your RGB components, though I think it looks just fine without it, if that isn't your cup of tea.

I opted for the White/Black version, which I think makes for some of the best looking builds, and I personally love the contrasting parts throughout the entire build. Both the front and top of the case are well ventilated, and both have filters. I opted to remove my top filter, as it isn't necessary for my top mount radiator setup, or exhaust fans in general. The modularity and fitment design of the case is wonderful overall, and it was a complete pleasure to build in. The wire management channels and velcro ties are well thought out, and effective at controlling the wiring on the backside. There is a good amount of space to work in, both inside the case, and below the power supply shroud from the back. If using power supply extensions, you will have to take your time, as the space between the motherboard tray and the back panel is fairly narrow.

In terms of included hardware, NZXT seems to changed up what is included in their hardware box. For example there is no longer a Y-adapter for headphones/mic to be used with the dual headphone/mic jack on the top of the case. Oddly enough, they do throw you an extra 2.5" drive bracket though. The hardware is pretty good and I think it offers a good value to the buyer.

Again, the case does offer 360mm radiator support for both the top or front of the case. If you want to make a radiator sandwich though (push+pull fans), your only option will be to front mount it, as there isn't enough room for two sets of fans along the top. I opted to top mount mine, and set my fans in "push" below the radiator, and I'm very pleased with the results. I'll note that my build has 7 case fans, plus the 3 fans on my GPU. My build is incredibly quiet.

If you do decide to front mount your 360mm AIO, you'll almost certainly have to mount it "tubes up," which contrary to the internet hype, is totally fine and won't hurt anything. In this first build, I liked the presentation of the top mount and the tubes didn't need to do any crazy bends to make it fit.

I chose to mount my GPU vertically, strictly for aesthetic reasons. However, I didn't go with NZXT's vertical GPU mount. Instead I chose the Phanteks PCIe 4.0 model, mostly because it was over $20 cheaper, and also because it has mesh across the unused space on the rear part bracket. The new NZXT mount as solid, with no mesh, at a jaw-dropping $90 US. The Phanteks vertical mount also doesn't require any modification to your case, as it did with previous cases like the H510 (which required cutting of the slot dividers). Securing it by lining up the set screws required some patience and good lighting though. Overall, I think it turned out great.

Personally, I liked the previous design of the hard drive cage in the H510. It was completely adjustable, and easily supported three 3.5" drives, not just two. Also the H7 HDD cage is secured by four slide-lock feet and a single captive thumbscrew. This is an issue because there are essentially only two positions you can have the hard drive cage in.

There are some other compromises as well. One of them is that at this case height, push+pull radiator setup isn't possible with a top mount setup. Also the length of this case would make dual 360mm AIOs (one top + one front) virtually impossible as the tubes would potentially fight for real estate. This might not matter if you are doing a custom loop though.

I do have a real gripe about my example. My hard drive cage was drilled wrong. The top slot of the cage had the holes drilled slightly out of spec, so the holes didn't line up properly with the hard drive. I needed to move my HDD cage farther forward to provide additional room for my PSU cables. This would have been fine, except the other hole was threaded wrong, and the thumbscrew wanted to go in at an angle and siezed up. I was able to remove the captive thumbscrew and use another thumbscrew, this time from the bottom of the case, and I was able to rememdy this. Even though I was able to work around this issue, they were super annoying to experience, having bought into this case at a $130 price tag. I was able to work through it because I am an experienced builder, with lots of spare parts. A newcomer might be less thrilled than me with this scenario.

These speedbumps are typical for a new product, but are no less frustating admidst what is otherwise a near-perfect case, in my opinion. NZXT clearly needs to clean up their tooling or QC on this model, to make sure the customer recieves a quality product, like the ones NZXT is known for making. Aside from these little issues, I think the fit and finish otherwise are excellent. I'm fairly certain this H7 Flow will be an instant hit for PC enthusiasts, and I predict it to be successful enough to get a "version 2" down the road.

If you are thinking about buying it, I think you'll be really pleased with it. The photos are very good representations of what you're actually going to receive.

I built this machine several months ago and every time I walk into my office I still do a double take. The case is stunning. I've built many computers over my lifetime (for myself and others) and this is my favorite case. It has your typical features, plenty of room, and a few cool features. But most of all it is quality. It is well-built and well-designed. Love it.

I did have a different NZXT model for my old build, but was not very satisfied with it. I was a bit hesitant to try NZXT again, but after seeing the reviews, I took the gamble. Suffice to say, I'm glad I did. It is very spacious as well as great for cable management and airflow. My only complaint is putting back the side panels after assembling my components. It might be my OCD, but I do not like that it's not fully seated. But maybe that is the design when you take the panels off and when you re-assemble, it's going to be noticeable. Not a huge gap at least to where dust can come in. The tempered glass panel was able to be seated back, but not the other one. But again, maybe that's by design or maybe I'm just not doing something right, haha.

5.0 out of 5 stars My go-to case for builds with the right motherboard
Reviewed in the United States on December 14, 2023
Style: H7 FlowSize: non RGB fanColor: BlackVerified Purchase
Couple things to note it comes with 2 non-RBG fans pre-installed. The RGB version of this case comes with 3 RGB fans in the front and 1 normal one in the back. Make sure you get a motherboard with a USB Type-C header on it or else you won't be able to utilize the front Type C port on the case. The panel header (power button) comes as one cable (unlike some cases) So you don't have to mess around with the tiny little connectors. The Hard Drive bay can be easily removed for more cable space and the case comes with 2 SSD adapters for the Hard Drive slots as well for a total of 4 SSDs allowed in the back.

There are no screws for any of the panel covers including the glass so be careful when taking off the panel covers as it may require more force to remove them. I have no issues with panels falling off though even with cables packed in the back panel. One other good case below this is the H6 flow and one above this is the O11 Dynamic Evo.
