Great card; most terrifying warranty support

Great card…stone cold and quiet. Elden Ring 4k max 60fps stable (game does not support more anywhere). Beyond Horrible customer support: Bought another card from them earlier and a fan died after a couple of days. Sent it back and asked for refund as I could not wait without a card and was going to just buy another. They took 15% restocking fee claiming the card was working flawlessly when they tested. When confronted, they essentially played a hustler/though calling the buyer a lier while explaining the card is no longer available to see who is wrong (leaving you no options but to be mugged of 150 + 50 you paid to have it shipped to them). The fan was unmistakably broken as even with the card unpowered it would not spin freely like the other two fans and every monitor program showed that fun not working proper; needless to say even if the customer was full of bananas, you would not treat them that way (it was as if the warranty repair guys were running a sting opp of their own taking a bonus by ripping people off).

Not great at writing reviews but wanted to post some pictures incase anyone had a H440 case it was a tight fit Had to use the cables that came with the psu to be able to fit the one all the way to the right. If you have the HDD plates or what ever thier called you have to remove some. Radiator fit the top but had to use the cpu cable that came with the psu aftermarket one didn't fit. That's why I only have one green set of cables now.

I got the 3080 12gb EVGA FTW3 Ultra Hybrid. I wish it has a 360mm radiator instead of the 240mm. BUT for $799 it is an amazing card, it goes easily up to 420 Watts with a little bit of overclock, the temperatures are well controlled, the noise is not too bad and it almost matched a 3080ti FE

In terms of graphical performance, the card is great. In terms of efficacy of the cooling, the card is great. The major issue is the pump. Unfortunately, it seems like EVGA went with a really cheap and nasty Asetek pump that is prone to breaking. A quick search for “ EVGA pump noise” and you will see a deluge of threads about how pumps go bad within months of purchase resulting in loud rattling/grinding noises.

Within a week, my pump went from whisper quiet to buzzing to all hell. EVGA product support was responsive and I was able to RMA my card with little hassle; however, there is a catch. EVGA refuses to pay for shipping back to them for their own defective product. As of this review, to include the insurance, you are looking at $70 to ship it back to EVGA per their instructions. Looking back, I probably should have just sent this back to Amazon as defective if I could have.

I recommend you avoid EVGA hybrid cards as they all use the garbage tier Asetek pumps. If you don’t mind the rattling death throws of a pump, then this card would be great.

Defectos:
- llevo 5 días con mi 3080, al inicio la verdad es que si es demasiado molesto el ruido de la bomba, pero te acostumbras y si usas un gabinete con tapa de vidrio mucho mejor por el sonido se reduce a la mitad. Supongo que con mas tiempo ya ni se notará.
-La instalación es para usuarios con conocimientos avanzados, ya que no hay instructivos en la caja, es decir vienen unas cuantos folletos pero no explican nada acerca de la conexión de los ventiladores y sobre como esta diseñada para ser colocada, he visto videos de gente que la pone metiendo aire, que la ponen en la parte inferior del gabinete y no, de ninguna forma la debes colocar metiendo aire porque el radiador se calienta demasiado y está pensado para que vaya anclado a la estructura del gabinete para que disipe mas el calor, entonces si lo colocas metiendo aire vas incrementar las temperaturas. Los ventiladores van puenteados a la placa de la gpu, mucha gente puede pensar que se requiere de un cable especial para conectar la bomba a la motherboard y no es así.
- La bomba no es PWM, es decir, funciona todo el tiempo a una velocidad programada en el bios y no esta diseñada para funcionar de otra forma, hay gente que desconecta la bomba de la placa de la gpu y la conecta a la motherboard para manipular su velocidad con un software como argus monitor, se dice que si haces esto la bomba se puede descomponer, esperaré mis 3 años de garantía para comprobarlo.
- Los ventiladores son muy ruidosos y me vino uno que hacía un ruido por un roce de una aspa. Reduciendo su velocidad con EVGA precission X1 se pueden bajar al 50% de su velocidad y seguirán dando la misma temperatura que funcionando al 80%. Hay mejores ventiladores, mas silenciosos, pero el problema será que si quitas el ruido de los ventiladores la bomba será mas notoria.

Cualidades:
- ALV! recuerdo que con mi 1080ti jamás habría pensado que se podría lograr estar a menos de 40°C, no sin tener los ventiladores trabajando al 50%. Esta GPU puede estar a menos de 35°C con los ventiladores funcionando al 10%!, nada de ruido mas que el de la bomba que ya mencioné arriba, pero aún así es mucho menos que una refrigeración convencional.
- Las temperaturas trabajando en un juego como RDR2 con todo en ultra y en 4k no pasan de 60° configurando la velocidad de los ventiladores al 50%, hay gente que es mas tolerante con la temperatura y la podría tener fácilmente con los ventiladores al 30% y la temperatura a 70° sin problemas, yo no soy así.
- En un programa que use la gpu moderadamente como el Topaz video enhance AI puede estar tranquilamente a 40°C con los ventiladores al 30%, repito, yo soy demasiado intolerante, pero bien podrías tener al a 50° con una configuración de menor velocidad y menos ruido.

Materiales y acabados:
- Los acabados son de materiales de bajo costo, es decir, la carcasa y los ventiladores son de plástico, pero tienen buenos acabados, los ventiladores si se sienten muy robustos de muy buen calidad, además de que tiene leds RGB independientes en los costados y en el backplate, a mi no me gustan.

El envío y el embalaje:
Tuve la suerte de que se la compré a amazon EU y me la envió amazon EU, entonces el empaque llego pulcro con sus sellos de EVGA intactos. He leído que hay mucho minero revendiendo sus tarjetas, es seguro que si compras cualquier gpu a alguien que no sea amazon, será una que fue explotada en minería. Mucho cuidado, estas gpu son LHR, osea anti mineros. Tardo 3 días en llegar, se me hicieron muy largos por el hype, pero creo que fue muy rápido tomando en cuenta que fue importación.

Conclusiones:
Definitivamente vale la pena, el único defecto que encontré fue la bomba discotequera, entre el ruido que hago yo, el ruido de los ladridos de perro de mis vecinos, el kevin y el brayan metiendole gas a su motoneta en la calle, es tolerable. Podría decirse que solo puede ser mejor la FTW3 ULTRA HYDRO COPPER que también tiene el mismo reloj, solo así podrías evitar la bomba ruidosa de la FTW3 ultra hybrid, y cambiar las piezas como por ejemplo un radiador de cobre, una bomba extra silenciosa, etc, aunque es mas caro, y para lo que me costó esta gpu, el AIO que trae fue prácticamente gratis.
