How customer reviews and ratings work

Customer Reviews, including Product Star Ratings help customers to learn more about the product and decide whether it is the right product for them.

To calculate the overall star rating and percentage breakdown by star, we don’t use a simple average. Instead, our system considers things like how recent a review is and if the reviewer bought the item on Amazon. It also analyzed reviews to verify trustworthiness.

5.0 out of 5 starsAwesome little keyboard!
Reviewed in the United States on November 25, 2023
I bought this keyboard to use with my new phone. i detest touchscreens and refuse to type on them. So when i couldn't use my Blackberry anymore, I had to figure out an alternative. The layout takes a little getting used to, and pairing requires you to push a very tiny button on the underside of the keyboard? But you only have to do it once... at least on an android? It pairs very quickly everyti/e it's turned on. It has a sleep feature that kicks in if you don't touch any keys for a few minutes. I have had this keyboard for almost two weeks, and other than the initial charge i gave it when I unboxed it. I haven't had to charge it again yet. I have a zipper pocket on my Moto G5 case, and this keyboard fits right inside it. If I have one complaint, it would be that I can't dial phone numbers with it. I haven't figured out why. So I have to use the touchscreen for that. Other than that little oddity, I love this keyboard. I'm considering buying another to have as backup. And why not? The price isn't bad for such a handy little gadget.

I would love to get a Cosmo Communicator or a FxTec Pro but I'll be honest, their specs aren't that much better than my 6 year old phone.

Now onto this thing. It turns on. The keys work. The bluetooth connection is good. The battery is fine. The keys are mushy but tactile and still light-years better than a touchscreen keyboard. Unfortunately, all this good is negated by the awful backspace key, which gets stuck under the bezel of the case if you happen to press up on the key wrong, potentially wiping an entire line of text as you try to un-stick it.

I desperately want this to work, so I sprayed some heavy duty lubricant in there above the backspace key. It somewhat helped, but it still gets stuck.

Edit: I got fed up and took a craft knife to the bezel around the key. It's ugly but the backspace no longer sticks.

Other hang-ups include the lack of dedicated period or comma keys. Like what the? These are the most common punctuation symbols in the English language. You're gonna make me press and hold FN for them??? At least forward slash has a dedicated key. (Lmao.)

It would've been fine if this keyboard was just a centimeter longer, if they were that needing for space.

It's worth mentioning that this thing has backlit keys. You can also charge it and use it at the same time. You can't connect to it without using bluetooth, the mini usb port is for charging only (I tried using its cord and a micro usb to usb hub for connecting it to my phone and it didn't detect it).

If you're not picky and you can live with these issues, get it. In the meantime, I'm going to contemplate a Cosmo.

5.0 out of 5 stars Awesome Minu Keyboard

Exactly what I was looking for.

I use this for my home PC when I’m sitting in my recliner and don’t need a full keyboard but occasionally need to type something.

Easily connected through Bluetooth. Goes into standby. After the first connection, works almost instantly every time you turn it on.

Has on the odd keys you might need: Windows button, quick Control+Alt+Delete, ect.

Super small and sturdy.

USBC charger.

4.0 out of 5 stars Handy keyboard for phone
Reviewed in the United States on December 12, 2022

I owned a similar keyboard for about 10 years, but it’s rechargable battery eventually died. ZThis one has the added advantageof backlit keys, which I like. It’s an old design (charges with mini-USB!) but it still works. It works with an iPhone, with some minor adaptations, like the Command button is the one on top labeled “WIN.”. If you want to write anything lengthy on your phone, or would like cursor kwys to help editing, this is a useful device. Very pocketable, too, only about 1/2” longer than a business card.

Quality is a little variable. The first one I received had very stiff key presses, and the backspace key sometimes got stuck and deleted massive amounts of writing before it could be stopped. Sent that one back for a replacement, and this one is both easier and more reliable.

They could improve it by including a slip casem which my old one came with, and which I’m using with this one.

5.0 out of 5 stars Hand Disability Prevents Use Full-Size Keyboard - Mini-Keyboard is Great Alternative Solution
Reviewed in the United States on January 26, 2024

My hands recently developed a disability which prevented me from stretching out my arms and fingers enough to be able to use a regular-sized computer keyboard. The mini keyboard is the perfect size to be handled with my limited range of motion.

The keyboard buttons have a nice tactile click. The unit is well made and has a high-quality feel to it. The keyboard is Bluetooth connected and it paired up with my computer quite easily. I really love it.

One note: the first keyboard I got did have a key button (the letter “u”) that didn’t work quite right. The vendor replaced the defective unit very quickly, so I’m very happy with the responsiveness and the service of the vendor.

If you happen to read my earlier review of this keyboard, disregard it. Turns out it was user error. Having correctly figured out how to operate the thing, it was easy to pair, paired with everything I wanted it to, and after a little bit of hunt and pick, it works just fine. If you want something you can stick in a shirt pocket, and take with you anywhere, this fits the bill nicely.

4.0 out of 5 stars Almost perfect

Use case: write, using my phone while at the gym on a recumbent bike.

This thin is almost perfect. It just need some key adjustments. The bottom row need to be shifted to the right one. QAZ stacked atop each other is very awkward and I typo often. Also there needs to be a shift key on the right side.

I will be returning it because of those annoyances. I'm being picky. However, I highly recommend it to anyone who that wouldn't bother.

I keep this thing in my pocket at all times now. Very handy if whenever I need to teamviewer into my laptop/desktop from my phone. All the buttons work well, nothing gets stuck. Only thing I wish it could do better is wake up from sleep faster. If you leave it idle for a while, pushing any button will wake it up but you gotta wait like 2 seconds for it to reconnect. Not that huge of a deal though.
