While fishing, this kept my Gopro high enough in the middle of my chest that my fishing chest pack wouldn't block the shot when I bent down to net the fish. Worked great! I slid the unit all the way up to my collar to avoid my chest pack. it can easily be stuck anywhere. The collar straps help keep the unit from flopping around while holding the Gopro. Couple shots wanted to film underwater while fish swam away and I just pulled it off the magnetic piece under my shirt and put it back when done. The straps help hold both pieces of this clip assembly so you can pull camera off and put it back with little adjustment.

Summary:
- If doing anything particularly kinetic or action-y (or extreeeeeeme), I’d probably use a more secure mount. For filming more chill activities, this is a very convenient and easy to use solution.

Stability/Video quality:
- With the latest GoPro 11 mounted over a regular fitting sweater, the video is ok when walking around with all the stability control settings maxed and in decent lighting. Lower light, lower stability settings, a looser top, and/or running can make the video too shaky to watch, mainly due to the side to side wobble. I haven’t used one yet, but I’d assume the strappy chest harnesses would be more stable, though they’re more obtrusive and dorkier looking.

Mount characteristics:
- Magnets are very strong/secure. They’re very difficult to pry apart, but sliding them apart either via sharp tug or rotating the mount and base in opposite directions allows you to separate them. It’s not gonna fall off if you’re walking/running around, but if you slide chest-first like in baseball or a skiing/snowboard fall, it’ll probably pry off the camera (plus likely scratch it all up). You could probably rig up some sort of tether to the mount so you wouldn’t completely lose the camera, but that seems kinda kludgey.
- The plastic feels sturdy and not likely to crack.
- Screw knob is plastic

Accessories:
- Lanyard/Necklace is reflective, non-removable, and is easily adjustable with a max circumference of about 33”. Base mount/medallion is about 5 mm (~3/16th “) thick.
- Also comes with another lanyard (not the necklace) that’s like a regular phone lanyard, which can be attached via small hole in the mounting plate. I’m not sure when/how this is supposed to be used, but it presumably serves as extra security. It’s just large enough to fit my large-ish head through, but feels odd to wear simultaneously with the main lanyard.
- The round magnetic plate has very sharp edges, and is basically a thin metal disc with permanent(ish) adhesive on the back, and the front seems to be powder coated and has a silicone/rubber ring so it doesn’t scratch the mounting plate. I’d use a file or something to round down the edges before using it on anything.

It has a strong enough suction even through double shirts, it also has a security feature on the GoPro part. I added a small fish leader for extra protection. I’m glad I went with this product over the alternative much more expensive one.

I have been using this for almost two months now. I really wanted to try it out in various conditions before reviewing it. I also wanted to test it in as many places as I could to see if I would really find value in having this. This has quickly become a must have for me to carry.

I tested this using my iPhone and a housing that lets me connect to various adapters. While I have an action camera that I sometimes use, I didn’t test with it because the weight of the phone is so much heavier. If it works with my phone, it will work with any of my action cameras.

The magnet on this is super strong. I have used it with a heavy sweatshirt and had no problem carrying my phone around (putting half under my shirt and using the magnetic connection to mount the phone on the outside).

It also is very strong when connecting it to a metal surface. Filing cabinets and carts work perfectly. In fact, I connected this to a utility cart using only the magnet and then walked around with the cart trying to knock this off. I even ran the cart into the wall a few times trying to have this fall off. It didn’t even budge.

The reason I like this so much is the flexibility you have. I can mount it on my backpack strap or even to myself and walk around with it. I can carry it around my neck and use it that way (though I find it is more stable when you put the back part under your shirt).

I can also use just the magnet to connect to a metal park bench for a quick selfie (using the timer or a small remote control).

 While I have other magnetic mounts that I really like, this is an easy one to grab if I don’t want to carry around my camera bag. Especially because I can wear it around my neck even without a camera connected. Then I have it if I want it.

Overall, I’m very pleased with both the functionality and durability of this.

Necklace pendant goes under shirt. Magnet thingy attaches to your action cam and that mounts over your shirt. Necklace has plenty of length even for big guys like me. I had it mounted with an osmo 3 with a metal cage and it leaned forward--like pulling my shirt forward. So i tried it without the cage thinking the weight was causing it. And it was about the same. Not sure if i am expressing this well. You kind of think/ or expect the plate to rest on your chest-bone. But it doesnt it leans forward and this causes it to rock left and right a bit when you move. There are some neck straps that are not necklace types that manage this issue better. But this one is way more comfortable. I think each has its place. I half think it might be better if the attachment point was at the top of the pendant. But i dont know. Nonetheless, it is a good way to mount your camera in a first person view sort of way but its not without some necessary tweaking.
