Very good product, works as described, no problems

In general - all mentioned in this review products are as described and working as described. Almost all deserve 5 stars (commented if one or more stars are taken off). Instead of reviewing item by item I decided to write one review for all products used for one specific PC build. The purpose of this PC build - fancy compact gaming system.

Very good case – compact, cool looking and efficient. The black color is the only variant I found on Amazon. With only cooling from top-down CPU cooler, the i7-13700K based system passed the stress test very well. Riser cable is not included – actually the riser cable for GPU orientation as shown on Amazon item photo does not exist. In order to build the system as shown, I bought a flexible riser cable (Item #2) and twisted it to 180°. Another simpler solution is to install GPU upside down as presented by other reviewers on Amazon.

- Works as supposed to. PSU had a noticeable burning smell for about 5 days, considering this is normal for a new PSU. If you want to build more powerful gaming system, I recommend the PCIe 5.0 ready 850W SFX PSU, something like ARESGAME GL850 https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B0CHDS4J33/
SFX-L PSU will work in Hydra Mini as well, but cable management will be tougher.

- Working as described, nice looking MB. Thank you, ASUS - now ROG motherboards have the Memtest86+ built in BIOS. This very helpful feature allows PC builders to check memory before operating system installation and prevent blue screens and failures during OS install and system use in case of defective memory.
In my case originally ordered CORSAIR DOMINATOR PLATINUM RGB DDR5 RAM 64GB (2x32GB) 6400MHz (Amazon https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B0C1R95SPW/) was defective. Both memory modules came to life and showed ok in BIOS but Memtest86+ got errors. I did test modules one by one in the same memory slot and found out that one of the modules is the cause of the failures. Returned the defective memory and bought another from a different brand (Item #6). ASUS ROG Motherboard chosen for the look. In my opinion the best Intel (or may be overall) mini ITX MB on the market is MSI MPG Z790I Edge WiFi Gaming Motherboard (Amazon https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B0BHCJ6KQ2/ ) I own one and have a very best experience.

And the very best (talking about built on Hydra Italy Mini Case) will be the system with 850W PCIe 5.0 SFX PSU and:

- Good design, keeps i7-13700K adequately cool in open Air PC Case. Mounting for regular size 120mm fan included. Easy installation - just install radiator 1st and mount fan after. ID-COOLING IS-67-XT chosen because of black color. In my opinion DeepCool AN600 Low Profile CPU Cooler (Amazon https://www.amazon.com/dp/B0C4P8ZPWT/) has a little bit better cooling performance (I have one in a very compact Flex ATX build).

Good, quiet and nice-looking fan. Actually, it is a leftover piece from a 9 fans ATX tower system build. This fan has a similar look but has better airflow / air pressure.

- The power cable connector to MB too tight - did not go all the way down, afraid to broke the MB if try to apply more force (the regular PSU cable fits perfect). Did use ARGB strip only for decoration purposes on the GPU side.

Recently bought this drive (within the last week) for a new build i am doing. Well I got it all put together and started trying to set it up only to find that my m.2 actually has windows still loaded onto and is still signed into another account of which i cannot access to remove the account or clear the drive.

Edit: I was able to clear the drive and fresh install my own version of windows and the drive now works. still not getting more than 3 stars as it was advertised as a brand new product. product came in terrible packaging (literally taped shut and the drive just flopped around inside the box) and i also had to clear the drive to remove someone else's windows account. Not sure why when I purchased I made sure to hit new product not used and still ended up with a used product.

The product works itself as intended, just be weary about ordering a new product as you may receive a used product that requires extra work just to use properly. Will definitely be looking for a different seller the next time that I go to buy.

Excellent storage expansion for ps5

I bought this 2 tb SSD for my PS5 to expand the number of games I could have saved on my system. It was easy to install in about 5 to 10 minutes. Then just turned the PS5 on and it automatically recognized it and formatted it for me. It transfers games from the internal SSD to the M .2 SSD extremely quickly and I can play games off of it with speeds as fast as or even faster than the native PS5 SSD. I have not even come close to filling it up and it works perfectly. It is exactly what I was looking for and I would highly recommend it to anyone looking for storage expansion on their PS5.

I bought this to replace a 500G HDD in a Dell desktop computer. I didn’t have any luck using the Western Digital cloning software so went with Clonezilla (free). I installed the new SSD in its slot on the motherboard and left the old HDD in place. Had to go into BIOS and change RAID to AHCI in system configuration—SATA operation so that Clonezilla would see both the original and target drives. Cloning took about an hour. Switched back to RAID in the bios afterwards and everything works great. This SSD is blazing fast. My days of grabbing a cup of coffee while waiting on a simple program to load are over. As a side note, I used the beginner selection in Clonezilla so my new drive is partitioned into 500g and 1.5 TB. That works for me, redirected all documents, downloads, etc in Windows to the new partition. If you want just a single partition you’ll have to use Clonezilla in expert mode which is a little complicated. Will use the old drive as a backup. Definitely recommend you get this product WITH the heat sink.

I will go right to the point. This is my first time buying a SSD of this type so I did a lot of research reading the reviews of the product here and of other similar products as the Firecuda, Samsung Pros, etc. After reading in multiple websites the top classification for SSD’s of 2023 and 2024 I opted for this one because of the overall capabilities. Here you have my insights:

Installation: 5/5. It was an easy and smooth installation, you will just need a screwdriver. The PS5 immediately recognized the SSD and I was able to format it with some clicks.

Reading speed: 5/5. First reading speed captured with the PS5 after the installation was 6.56 Gb/s. Kinda less than was is advertised in the specs (7.3 GB/s). Pretty fast thought. My games load really fast and Tun without issues.

Quality of product: 5/5. I saw in other reviews that some people received damaged boxes with the product or what it seems to be used devices. Not my case, the product was brand new, the box came without packaging damage and product came sealed inside.

I still have to test it further, since I haven’t had enough time to play long sessions. But we will see how this drive behaves through time.

Needed to reset his system when he first put it in, but after loading everything on, it's working awesome and he can access all of his games. I have an old 960 EVO I bought in 2016. My God that's almost a decade ago.... 1/7th of my life. Poof. Gone.

Existential horror aside, when I installed this little guy, I moved a copy of BG3 to it and measured the load-time of the same game save on each drive. I am thrilled. Finally upgraded and boy was it worth it. My load time was *1 second faster* lol. I should believe Jayztwocents when he rants about how drive speed is mostly a gimmick and won't make that much of a difference. Do I regret buying this? Heck no. It's pretty and it actually does make a measurable difference. It's sort of halfway noticeable without timing the load times by the second.

Just did an overhaul on my system. Only my PNY 3080 was moved from my old system to my new one. I built that old boy long ago. Shopping around, I was so amazed by the HUGE increase in everything, particularly MOBOs and DDR5 ram, but CPUs are amazingly speedy, too! M.2 speeds TRIPLED.

I snagged a MEG Z690 ACE, an i5-13600k, 32GB 6000 MHz RAM sticks with pretty lights, and a slick Lian Li Evo XL case, along with these little guys. I am so happy to be done with it (but I still have space for 5 more case fans). I pinched pennies for 6 months. All the pinto beans and cornbread was worth it. They're actually pretty tasty.

Buy this thing because you want to. Even knowing what I know now, I would do it again, but I am not a smart man so take that into consideration.

Took a bit of fiddling to figure out (being a mechanical engineer with decent computer hardware experience, not a computer tech), but with an external drive enclosure was able to create a perfect WIN11 clone of my 512G drive, increasing C drive to the full 1TB capacity (minus the system partitions). The laptop I installed this to has a Gen3 interface, so I am not taking advantage of the full speed capability, but the performance is still notably faster than the 2018 vintage SSD that came in the machine. Spent the few extra $$ to get the various benefits of the Gen4 SSD, and feel the results are worth it. I am not a gamer, nor do I run Revit or Autocad on this laptop, so no rating provided.
