Whisper-Quiet OperationThe Shadow Wings 2 140mm PWM White fan blades have been optimized to ensure maximum airflow, resulting in a whisper-quiet operation yet solid cooling. They operate at only 14.9 dB(A) even at its maximum speed of 900 rpm. The perfect choice for all who appreciate maximum silence for their PC case. |
Anti-Vibration ConceptRemovable anti-vibration mountings on all four edges of the fan reduce vibrations transmitted to the PC case. In addition, the fan is equipped with a rubberized frame that reinforces the anti-vibration concept and ensures vibrations are reduced to an absolute minimum. |
Rifle Bearing TechnologyThe Shadow Wings 2 140mm PWM White is the hallmark of outstanding reliability. This is achieved by its high-quality rifle bearing technology, which assures a very long lifespan of up to 80,000 hours. |

Push-Pin MountingWith the Shadow Wings 2 anti-vibration mounting system the fan is simple to install. The push-pins ensure a very fast and secure installation without needing screws. |
Variable Fan Speed FunctionPulse Width Modulation (PWM) allows compatible 4-pin controllers to vary the speed intelligently and thus minimize the noise level of the fan. With PWM your system can ramp up the cooling when it’s needed, or operate at maximum quietness when it’s not. |

Easy install, it is revolutionary.
Fresh paste installed, mounted this fan on top of the heat sink.
There’s a little problem though. This Fan is PWM the port on the One S is a mini-PWM port,
The solution?
Cut the connectors off the original fan and cut the connector for this fan at around maybe half way through the cable. Re connect the mini-PWM connector from the original fan to the cut connector of this fan (NOTE: I don’t know the order from left to right or right to left to connect the pins, from what I know it is GND, 12V, Sensor, Control. So I did a trial and error to get it working)
Solder the wires or get an adapter (PWM to Mini-PWM if you don’t want to go through the hassle)
Place the fan at the center, you don’t even need zip ties or anything, when you place the metal back in place, it creates a tight seal.
Trust me, noise. GONE.

The mechanism for attaching the fan to the case frame is also easy, noise dampening, and forgiving to move it around a little.
Excellent performance and low noise. The price is a bit steep at $18/each.
I actually became a bit of a be quiet! stan because of these fans; since getting them, I've bought a new Straight Power 11 PSU and a Shadow Rock 3 (White edition) CPU cooler. Both of those products have also been completely silent and are worth the cost.
TLDR; pricey but dead silent. 9/10
I love it! It runs quieter at a higher RPM than the pure wings fan and looks great in my build. When the white versions become available again, I am going to pick up another one or two to replace the black fan that is still in my case. That said, my case is virtually silent as is, but I expect even with a 3rd Shadow Wings fan, it will be even silenter (if that is even a word).
In all - I love be quiet! products and love this Shadow Wings 2 140mm white case fan.

They're all but silent most of the time. Crank them up to max and you'll hear the airflow, but if you have to run your system fans on max you've probably got a problem. Mine typically run about 70% because that's how high I can get them before I can hear them. I went into the BIOS and turned everything off except one fan at a time, and at that level I can't hear them above the hum of the PSU. A bumblebee was outside the other day and made more of a racket from six metres away through a window than these did right in front of me (I have a 120 and a 140 running). I've had sweet nothings whispered to me louder than these.
It's worth saying they don't spin quite as fast as some others, and I've read the static pressure isn't great, but for quiet, good looking, non-RGB, case fans, I've stopped looking for anything else.
Installation is the easiest thing you'll do on your rig. Just pop the rubber 'screws' in and you're done. No tools, no mucking about. My only complaint is that they're not white, so on the top of my case they stick out.
Other than than, brilliant. My case isn't great for intake (NZXT H500), but I might buy two more from the front just to complete the look, because I sure don't have to worry about increasing the noise.
