Well, this is largely a matter of opinion. Historically, the 22mm should be the perfect walk-about lens. This is equivalent to the 35mm focal length on a full frame 35mm camera, such as the older film cameras. It is wider than normal, but not too wide to shoot about any subject. It is also very small on this camera, and has excellent sharpness.

The more famous old time street photographers usually used a Leica with a 35mm lens.

The 22 is great but the 18-55 is a tad slow. There's some new lenses coming out but not all will be available in the US.

I use 22mm as I love primes and 35/2 is good walk around lens. 18-55 is good but is a little bulky.

I think the 22mm is a good cover-all lens. Unfortunately there are only 2 lens options for this camera at this point
