After positioning so it faced East, clock finally acquired signal. I suppose this is due to antenna, so West facing may also work. Previously clock was facing north. Increasing rating to 4 stars since no way to manually set the seconds.
This is great for temperature, but that's about it. It only searches for the atomic clock signal from 12AM-6AM, and so far it has failed to even search for the signal, much less sync. If manually setting the time, there is no way to set the seconds, so clock is always ahead or behind actual time. More frustrating, La Crosse's website says to press the '-' button to force a manual clock signal search, except there is no '-' button!
Lastly, clock won't even attempt to search for time until it connects to the outdoor receiver, so make sure you have four AA batteries, 2 for the base unit, two for the remote unit. I am going to wait one more day before sending it back.
