I purchase the L775-S7222 a in July and it has the fast clock problem. I would have returned it but I didn't become aware of the problem until after Staples) 14 day policy. I have a lower end model Toshiba which I have had in operation for three years and it has performed flawlesly. This fast clock situation has effected quite a few computers, perhaps the ones with this AMD processor. After a few " my name Peggy" calls to tech srevice and several attempts to fix the problem the latest word is the computer is to be shipped back to Toshiba for a repair.
I am waiting for the shipping box to arrive at this time. In all fairness Toshiba's tech service has been very good and their response line was with a minimum of waiting. The computer in general performs well and when this problem is resolved I am sure it will be worth the investment..
