Amazon Kindle Leather Cover w/ Strap - I just received this cover yesterday, but it has already been returned. This is a nice cover, however, it lacks the basic corner hold-down straps like the original Amazon cover. Even the instructions state not to lift the Kindle while it is secured with the hinges. However, it is virtually impossible not to mistakingly lift the Kindle while casually handling it. Therfore, the Kindle may easily be lifted up as you open the cover (making it very easy to break either the hinges or the Kindle itself). Why would the manufacturer not attach hold-down straps? That would make the device much more secure. The outer strap is a good idea, but there needs to be a redesign of this cover with inside, corner hold-down straps (or other option) when the cover is open.

I agree that the straps would be nice. but I don't understand why people are surprised when they get the cover and there are no straps in it. The description and the photos are very clear that there are no straps.

Atticus Finch says:
Agree with sabst79 - you must have ordered without looking at the very clear pictures or read any previous comments. If you really wanted straps, why didn't you order the obvious choice, the M-Edge Go? Personally, I prefer nothing between me and the face of the Kindle. Also, to open this case wrong, you would have to first NOT use the new strap AND THEN not be looking at the case while opening it, since it is obvious which side is the front. So, it's possible, but unlikely if you take the slightest care.
