Pros: waterproof lightweight comfortable to use easy focus great light gathering for use in low light level of visual aberrations good for this price point
Cons: Design makes it impossible to adjust to narrow set eyes. There is no way these can be adjusted for a child to use. Yes, they are large for a child anyway, but you tell me what child doesn't want to look at exactly what you just said "OOOoo" about?
I really like the features of these binoculars. They are very lightweight for their size (thanks to the roof prism). The rubber coating is nice and soft and should provide some impact protection as well as making them comfortable to hold. The focus knob is very smooth and easy to reach. I really don't like the tube spacing. I have narrow set eyes and these simply do not adjust far enough in for me to look through both tubes at the same time. I used them for a night of stargazing and was forced to keep one eye closed and use them like you would a monocular or telescope. The problem is that the objective ends touch before the eyepieces are very close together. There is nothing that could be done about this besides using smaller diameter objective lenses. I'll have to return them which is too bad because they are great otherwise.
