Excellent Bed - but it is no wall hugger!,

This review is from: Reverie 8Q Adjustable Power Foundation King (Kitchen)
Ordered the bed on Amazon and it arrived in about a week. Ordered the 8Q King - which is two TwinXL adjustable beds. It is seriously heavy 175 pounds for each twin XL bed. Also, the batteries that go into the bed and the button that is used to program the remotes is underneath the bed. Not convenient - if I ever need to change those batteries it will take 4 people to pry those beds out from the sleigh bed that they are sitting in. The same goes for any maintenance - not going to be easy if something breaks. After some fiddling got both bed remotes to chain together. Got the iPhone app to work right away, which was a relief as some other reviewers had problems
I had called the company to ask about the wall hugger feature - sales person told me that yes the 8q is a wall hugger. After getting the bed installed I can say that this is not the case (and that's why this review is 4 stars and not 5). The bed does not shift at all back and in a reading position there's a gap of around 18 inches between the bed and the head board. That means that my night stand is unreachable without getting up if the bed is in a reading position. If you are looking for a wall hugger adjustable base - this base is not what you are looking for.
The massage feature is extremely nice and the remotes are super cool. The bed is well built and solid. Really like how the mattress sits on the bed and is held in place with hooks on the corners. The low profile of the base as well as the dual height legs allowed me to fit this unit into our sleigh bed just right.
I would recommend this adjustable base as I think it is a solid product that does what it says it should do. I can recommend this bed for someone looking for lots of features who does not mind lack of wall hugger capability.
