One of the reasons I got this controller is you can hook it up to your computer and use it to play Steam games. The driver takes a bit to download and get working but this thing is a beast once you get it up and running. Thankfully you can turn off the lights which I do because it is pretty irritating. Regardless thing thing works like a champ.
Hooking it up to the xbox is pretty anticlimactic. You hook it up, it plays fine. That being said there isnt much of a reason to use a wired controller with the xbox as the wireless controllers are somewhat the same price now. The main reason for this thing personally is being able to use it for Steam. This is where this controller rules.
I have used it on an Alien, a Dell and an XPS and they all work great. You hook it up to a standard USB port and after you download the drivers you can play your games.
This is a solid controller. It feels good and works well. The buttons are a little off but you get used to them pretty quick. I was up and running pretty fast and the controller feel became second nature after a few minutes. The price on this thing is pretty fair and I just like it.
Finding a Wired Xbox controller is getting more and more difficult. I do not know if they even make them anymore. With the advent of the xbox one I am thinking they are going to get even more difficult to find. Give this a shot, you wont be disappointed. I have played a few games on steam and this controller has done well with Bioshock, DayZ, Boarderlands, Riptide and a few other cheaper games.
