We bought the PFS22SISBSS model which is 22.2 cu. ft. and VERY similar to this model in 2006. Within the first year a plastic part on the door broke. We were informed that the whole rubber assembly around the opening of the refrigirator would have to be replaced to fiz the small plastic part. Without this part, the door wouldn't stay closed, and often after closing would come ajar 1/4". Early in 2011 we had problems keeping the freezer sufficiently cool. Also that year the same plastic part on the other side-by-side door of the refrigirator broke. We had a repair man replace the rubber assembly and the plastic parts. Also the temperture control/computer was replaced. It took MANY monthes to get the parts since the model was discontinued. Two months after getting the thing fixed, the compressor went out. This is a $1000.00 repair to a 5 year old appliance. We are now shopping for a whirlpool refrigirator of similar size. WE WILL NEVER, EVER BUY ANOTHER GE APPLIANCE. A $2,000.00 appliance which lasted 5 years. Pitiful. If I could give it 0 stars I would.
