5.0 out of 5 stars Autobiography of a Single Independent Woman, January 15, 2013
This review is from: My Beloved World (Kindle Edition)
Sonia Sotomayor is an inspiration to many. I loved her book as it was a true story of a successful minority woman. It should be required reading in all public schools.

I posted a similar comment on F/B. I just found out about the book today, and if I decided to teach ENG again, I will certainly consider this book as a required reading. Students need to be exposed to the lives of extraordinary women of color; an experience they rarely have no matter their background. Generally, I use Incidents in the Life of a Slave Girl when I teach, and even the White males are blown away by this narrative. I have been looking for a contemporary autobiography to use. I might have found one.
