5.0 out of 5 stars Finally someone got it right for Runners!!, March 1, 2010
Verified Purchase(What's this?)
This review is from: Sennheiser PMX 680 Sports Earbud Headphones (Discontinued by Manufacturer) (Electronics)
Worth it!! I've been waiting for this item to come out on the market. I've gone through about 5-6 pairs of different headsets. Earbuds would ALWAYS fall out after the first 2 steps of running. I think I may have a small ear canal? I then tried ones that wrap around your ear. That was okay but then after long runs they would start to get uncomfortable and hurt also the cord would snag if I turned my head.
This headset was a Very well thought out design. It uses 1 cord not 2 like alot of headphones out there. The cord is short maybe 18 inches long. This is nice because you don't have to worry about a cable flopping around when you run. It also comes with an extension cable that connects to make it longer if you want and has a volume adjuster attached if you need to change the volume on the fly. It fits very well and is very comfortable. I don't feel it when I run. The sound quality is a huge bonus. I'm happy with this purchase and I know there are alot of runners out there that have the same problem I had. I hope this review helps.

Your comments have persuaded me. I have been hunting for a decent pair of running earphones, prepared to go to the expense for somethign good- getting what you pay for.
I also am former military and this makes your word gold. Thanks for taking the time.

Does anyone know if these work well/don't interfere with sunglasses or baseball hats? I frequently wear both when I am running. Am debating between this style or regular earbuds for that reason.
Thanks!

I ordered them, and I also use a hat and sunglasses, so when I get them, use them, and post my review, I'll include that info, in case you still haven't purchased a pair...

I don't know about a cap but I can wear them with sunglasses without even noticing that both are there.

Whether this works for you may depend on the shape of your head. Near the front of the ear they curve out away from the head considerably, which allows the arm of the glasses to fit underneath the headphones' frame. The headphones then curve above the ear not just over allowing the glasses to rest on the ear. My ears aren't particularly large so there's plenty of room between the top of my ear and the headphones.

This comment is SPOT ON. I have just received my pair of these headphones, and they are incredible. BY FAR the best set of running headphones I have ever owned (and I have tried everything, normal ipod phones, "in-the-ear" phones, big over-ear phones, around the ear phones). The sound is good, and the comfort is brilliant.

Love these!

I love these... I'm just ordering my second pair, as I've had the first for almost 2 years now... and I've damaged the cord. My first pair I bought in Australia for almost $120, and now I live in Hong Kong, and haven't been able to find a pair in the shops, so... AMAZON it is then. #:D

I have heard that these are a little thicker than the PMX 70 and 80 series. And those wearing glasses preferred the older models.
