This is going to be the last Schiffer Publishing title I will purchase without reading a review unless it is from an author who I know his quality of work. This book simply does not deliver what could be an interesting read. In scanning through the text it was more like reading a technical manual than anything else. The quality of the pictures varies greatly. There is a color picture of an F6F Hellcat which was obviously a black and white photo computer generated into a color one, and it was done poorly. Another photo of one of the prototype aircraft is reversed, the number on the tail gives that away. Several other photos are blurred badly. There is even a color photo of a model Cutlass in flight, why? On the plus side there is good quality walk around photos of the Naval Air Museum Cutlass and one undergoing restoration. Overall however, I was greatly disappointed and sent my copy back and will stick with my Ginter Publishing Cutlass book.
