Doesn't work with dvd from Taiwan,
Verified Purchase(What's this?)
I have tried DVDs that worked on other region free players with this machine and it didnt work. Called Samsung support and it turned out the specific one I have is DVD-360ZA which is not region free though there a sticker on the box saying it is. Very disappointed and had to return.

Taiwan DVDs work on a standard US player. They are NTSC like US & Japan. Chinese & Hong Kong DVDs are PAL. If it's from Taiwan it doesn't need a multi region, just NTSC.

This is most definitely not true.
Taiwanese DVDs are NTSC. True. But they are NOT region 1 or not necessarily region 0. Taiwan is Region 3, as is Korea, and Hong Kong. However, some Region 3 DVDs from HK, Korea or Taiwan are actually region 0.... just like some US DVDs are not region 1 but region 0.
HK is NOT PAL. Only mainland China. and even then so many DVDs from the mainland are bootlegs so plenty are NTSC... but you definitely have to be careful with mainland discs. I've had many that do not play properly due to improper gluing.
