Socks are great but they are TOO BIG -- Size Info Wrong.,
Verified Purchase(What's this?)
This review is from: 3 - Prs. Merino Wool Blend Socks- Size 10-13-unisex (Apparel)
Here is what the copy says:
"Men's sock size 10-13, fits most shoe sizes."
From that you might expect that the socks would fit if you have size 10.5 shoes. Not true. First, sock sizes are not the same as shoe sizes (unbelievable but true), and second these socks do NOT fit "most shoe sizes." The copy should read
"Extra Large. Men's shoe size 12-15."
These socks were way to big for my size 10.5 feet. Because the curve of the heel is in the wrong place, the socks fall down and are annoying. This is a problem particularly if you walk around without shoes on.
It's too bad because the sock material seems quite good. Obviously the seller had some XXL socks to unload, and used misleading copy to do it.
I will return them, but will be out $12 in shipping fees.
Don't get these unless you have shoe size of at least 12. I tried washing in hot water, but there was no shrinkage.

This is the only review that takes issue with sizing.

That is funny. I wear a size 10-1/2 and they fit perfectly!

They are prefectly sized. I wear a size 10-1/2 shoe and they fit like a glove. In fact, I am buying three more pair because they are so comfortable.

Since they are 60% wool, try putting them through a couple wash cycles, machine wash hot (NOT gentle cycle) and tumble dry medium which constricts the wool a bit. The hot water feathers the cuticle surface scales of the wool but it's the agitation that makes these rougher wool fibers get more entangled to cause the perception of shrinkage. Also, avoid fabric softeners in the wash so they don't coat down the fibers so they can't entangle as much.
Then again it may possible that somehow a pair of XL socks ended up with the wrong label on them, or bedbugs are nibbling at your toes and they are shorter now. ;)
If all else fails, wrap a piece of bacon around your heel as a shim.
Lastly, USPS rate for 4 pairs of socks is lower than $12, closer to $6 for a flat rate box but you could always donate them to goodwill or a homeless person especially at this time of year with cold weather and Christmas coming near.
