As my first DSLR, I am loving this camera. I moved up from a Nikon S3000 point and shoot (which takes good photos for a point and shoot), and was going to move to the D3100 but decided on the T3 because of its Auto Exposure Bracketing feature (a must have if you want to take HDR)and cheaper price. The camera is very easy to use and has great image quality. There is a nice built in guide that tells you what each setting is so that you will never have to google it. It also has good quality video (720p at 30fps or 25fps). It has a HDMI out for connecting to TVs and such. RAW files work great with Lightroom 3, though noise can been seen on the images even at low ISOs (which Lightroom can take care of). Focus range on the kit lens is 0.8ft, but you can focus on a subject and then use the zoom to get in closer, giving you a macro like image. Overall very happy with this camera. Got a great price on it here at Amazon ($450, no tax, free two day shipping :)
Would definitely recommend to someone else. Going to upload photos here on the product page as soon as I can.
