Hole in the sole!,
Verified Purchase(What's this?)
This review is from: Kenneth Cole REACTION Men's Punchual Slip On (Apparel)
I've never reviewed an item on Amazon before and I just want to help someone else not make the mistake I made in buying these shoes. I bought them in August 2011 and really liked them - comfortable, looked great, easy on/off, etc. After three months, in which I 'd estimate I wore them approximately 25 times, there is now a crack/hole in the left sole. I didn't notice this until today, the first day I wore them in the rain - my foot got soaked due to water coming in the sole. For $75 these should definitely have lasted longer than 3 months of not even every-other-day use. Too late to get a refund or anything so hopefully someone else reads this and avoids the same issue!

Agreed. The shoes are very comfortable but the soles crack and get holey in a few months with regular office wear!

Mine did this too. It's too bad because these shoes look and feel great. I was thinking about buying another pair, but, i can't keep replacing them every year. Soul replacement is almost the cost of the shoe. I would love to find a similar style that lasted much longer. I appreciate any suggestions.

Same thing happened with my pair. I love these shoes, but am hesitant to buy another pair if they're just going to fall apart after a couple of months again.

This has happened to me on two different pairs. I still kind of want more because they are very comfortable, but I guess I should look around.

I thought it was just my pair that did this. I've had them for about 4 months and I do wear them everyday to work (office) and I also take 25 min walks during my break 2-3 times a week with them on...so when I found the cracks/holes on the soles I figured I was wearing them out prematurely by my own use. I think the sole is just too soft which makes it very comfortable but at the same time prone to this issue. I've gone back to Macy's where I got them and looked for another pair of similiar shoes but I just can't find anything I like. I may be stuck buying another pair but at $80, it can add up having to buy new ones that often.

Same thing happened to me, too! They are the most comfortable shoes EVER when you first put them on-- but i think that might have something to do with how they fall apart on the sole? Or it could be planned obsolescence by a conniving corporation?? I just went on amazon to buy another pair and I was SHOCKED to see it was just a few months ago that bought them! The sole looks like I've been wearing them since the early 90s haha.

I just noticed a hole in my left sole. I think this is because when I get in my car I pivot on the left foot to sit down and over time it causes it to wear out faster than the right shoe. These have lasted me about a year and a half, however, I probably only wear them 2 or 3 days out of the week.
I will probably get another pair because they really fit nicely and are very comfortable.

Agreed, it seems like they have an air pocket in the heal. Only one was punctured, but now it makes a mild squeaking sound when I walk on that heal. It's a bummer, because these are affordable and comfortable to wear.
