It CAN Hold Dresses!,
This review is from: Eagle Creek Pack-It Folder 18 (Apparel)
I bought this to pack my dresses, because garment bags aren't always the best way to transport dresses for airline travel when I need to use my carry-on that has wheels.
I usually have to roll my dresses for airline travel, but every trip then has to start with me getting reacquainted with a steam iron and the game of finding the power outlets in the room that actually work. No more jet-lagged ironing madness! Eagle Creek may be getting a postcard from a happy customer traveling though Asia this Christmas.
The descriptions everywhere state that this folder was designed for shirts, pants, sweaters and such - but nobody ever mentioned dresses.
Having a gift card at my disposal, I decided it was worth the risk and I tried one of these folders out yesterday. It folds my dresses in thirds (use the folding board - just as with a shirt!), and after about 8 to 12 hours of being "packed" in a carry-on that I filled as though leaving for a trip; the dresses came out and could be hung back up!
I packed 8 dresses (it was packed tight) made of lighter weight fabric, and there were some wrinkles on some of them, of course, but less than when I travel with a garment bag! This even fit inside my newest Thirty-One rolling carry-on bag! It's a snug fit, but I can live with that. You won't hear a peep of complaining out of me about this wonderful product!
Bottom line: armed with this folder and a travel-size bottle of wrinkle release; I think packing for a trip will now make me smile as I think about actually resting when I make it to my destination!
