This is a handy reference if you ever need step-by-step guidance on practicing the asanas via the Iyengar approach. As a woman with chronic pain, I love practicing with the alignment approach in mind. I truly believe it's saved me from mishaps as well as helped speed the healing time for physical strains that come through exercise or just being old:) This book is limited to the technical approach. No in depth philosophy, info on the anatomy or organs associated with the asanas. B.K.S Iyengar and his daughter Geeta have other books that cover those things.
