4.0 out of 5 stars Tunic hound, January 19, 2013
Verified Purchase(What's this?)
This review is from: Doublju Womens Long Sleeve V-Neck Handkerchief Longline Tunic Blouse Top (Apparel)
In retirement I am enjoying leggings and tunics. This one is long, comfortable, well priced. The size tends to run smaller than more well known brands, and fabric is somewhat thin. The style is flattering if you have a tummy you want to cover, but I wear a spanx underneath because of fabric thiness. I am hoping the finish does not peel. Have not laundered enough to know. If I had to, would purchase again, but prefer a tunic with a more substantial fabric. Also, there is one that looks like this that is presented as a skinny fit. It is definity smaller than you would expect. This one is somewhat larger, so beware.

I am also enjoying tunics and leggings in retirement! Your comments were great but could I ask you a couple of things?
1) How is it flattering if the material is thin? This usually is not the case.
2) In the photo it looks like it adds a bust for you if you don't really have one; is this just the photo? No added bra inside?
3) Does the opening in the back look weird? It's not my best feature.
4) And... are the colors as wild as they look in the photos? I'm moving to a fairly conservative area and want to look my age. and you deserve a prize if you answer all these questions...

Hi, Retirement's great, isn't it? As to your questions, I ordered the black and the white tunic, as I myself am somewhat conservative. The material is a little thicker than a T-shirt, but I deal with that by wearing a Spanx top over my bra, and to hide that tummy I have. The bottom of the top is uneven, like handkerchief edges, which I, personally, like. It gives one a slimming look. The drape if the fabric is nice without being clingy. It is cotton. The back of the top is just a rounded neck, it is only about 1-2 inches from the base of my neck. I am a DD, so I don't know about it giving the impression of a fuller bust, except to say that with the V neck, and a good push-up bra I can see that definitely being the case. But, please know, it is not a deep Vee on me, and no cleavage is seen. There is no bra added inside. Really, with the Vee, I think the drape of the material would give you the look you may desire. I'm considering some of the other colors for spring to wear with capris. Laundering involves washing with my other whites/darks for the black, but I don't dry them, although I probably could on a low setting. Don't worry about wild colors, you've earned the right to wear what you want! Hope this helps, and if you order, enjoy.

Thank you very much! It's so helpful to be able to ask people before purchasing. I have wasted money by ordering things that didn't work out. :)
