Love my Firkin,
This review is from: Noble Mount London Office Tote Croc Finish - 5 Colors
I got this as a surprise birthday gift from my husband. I love the look of the firkin (faux birkin) It seems sturdy, but Im sure not to overload it as I know the handles will show wear if I dont take care of it, as I know this by experience with other purses.
My one and only complaint, and the reason for the one star deduction is this: Stinky. It has been unseasonably raining in Philly lately, and my bag has gotten wet (not soaked, but rained on) a couple of times, and it has gotten this funk about it. I took out all the contents of the bag & febreezed the bejesus out of the lining and wiped down the outside with some leather wipes. It is still stinky, so I sprayed some Stella Nude into it & put it into a oversized ziplock bag overnight. It is definitely less stinky, but not 100% gone. Weird, I know--but unavoidable unless you treat yr firkin like a quasi-gremlin and avoid getting it wet at all costs. (I havent given it food after midnight, so i dont know if that will affect it at all)
Update 01/29/2013 I used this bag maybe 1x a month, and the other day I noticed the handles are ripping, the bottom leather has scuffed off and the lock has lost its luster. I am not overly tough on my bags, but I think this one just has mediocre quality. Not sure if it is worth the price at this point. oh, it is also still a smidge stinky.
Update 04/18/2013: Guess what? Used some Shoe Goo to fix the handle! Good as new....well, the lock lost it's luster, but Sorta good as new.

I am still laughing.... it is the dye that is doing that. Dye used to be made with urine, and if this material comes from a lesser country, the dye may be made the same. Old felt used to smell like stinky, rank wook - add the dye to it, and I don't know how they got near it. Try bagging it with laundry dumbler sheets... put inside and zip up. Put bag in pillow case and zip up, and air fluff it, then let it sit a day or so. This takes the stink out of stinky shoes, so it might work for you. Good luck. (I love the Ferkin look)♥
