This Kindle Touch 3G is my first Kindle. I just received it two days ago and was able to learn to use it very quickly.
The onscreen keyboard is a good size as are the two font style choices and associated font and spacing adjustments. The overall dimensions and weight of the Kindle make it comfortable to hold, imo.
But I'm disappointed that the screen's background brightness can't be adjusted. It'll be great for reading outdoors as is. However, it's too bad that we can't read the Kindle in dim light situations. I'd like to be able to read outdoors as it turns to dusk. And also in bed at night when the lights are off and husband is asleep.
I'll continue borrowing more books from the library instead of purchasing the majority of my books for the Kindle as I'd hoped.
If a software update could fix this then it's time to get it accomplished. It's a big flaw in an otherwise terrific device. Ignoring brightness versatility was a major mistake.
