These publisher pricing schemes are out of hand.,
This review is from: Full Dark, No Stars (Kindle Edition)
I hate to write a review that has nothing to do with the book's content, but if that's what it takes to get the message across to the publisher and Amazon, then fine.
I will not pay more for a Kindle book than the hardcover book sells for. I will also not pay more than what the paperback version sells for. I don't really care whose fault it is; that's just how I feel, and I'll be as grumpy as necessary to underscore it.

Wait for the paperback then. Back when I was poor, that's what I did.

Went in and gave the book five stars cause I like the cover art. I suggest that at least nine or ten people do this so as to off set the idiots who insist one using the "review" of a book to whine about the price. Would put in more myself but I am unable to leave more than one review.
Just do silly things like....five stars cause I found the book at Target for 30% off or five stars cause I was first on the list at my local library to receive this book.
May be Amazon will get the message ??

All of the 1-star reviews are insane. THIS is what it takes to get the message to the publisher and Amazon? Wake up. Even if 500 people give it one star reviews, do you think the publishing company is going to care when it sells globally in all areas of the market? Quit wasting our time and write a review of the book.

I'm posting this comment for every single review that rates this product 1 star based only on the price of the Kindle.
The alarming thing to me is that more people than just the original alleged reviewer find any of this useful? What, you couldn't see the price of the version you wanted to buy but this reviewer's keen eyesight and acumen helped you see the light? Really??!! If you think your review is helpful, please look at the numbers that indicate how helpful a review like this is - it IS NOT HELPFUL.
Come on folks, we all understand that price of a particular item is a factor in the rating. But it cannot be the only thing and it cannot be your form of protesting the price. This review forum is by and for CUSTOMERS to help each other by providing opinions, both positive and negative about a given product. Rating it one star based on what everyone else already can see - the clearly advertised price for each available version - does not help any customer decide on the product. It comes across as complaining about the price - which again - we can all clearly determine for ourselves. If you want your protest "heard", simply DO NOT BUY THE PRODUCT. That says more to Amazon and the publishers than your 1 star rating. It is quite clearly narcissistic of you to believe that the author, the retailer, or the publisher cares about this form of an opinion - they care about sales. Not buying a product at a given price point will deliver that message clearly and may help drive the price down. As for all of the customers who share in this community, we care about your opinion of the actual product. Please, for the sake of all of us who use this, post reviews that benefit most or all of us...don't complain about the price with a rating that simply skews the overall product rating when in fact it has little if anything to do with said product.
Complaining only irritates everyone else who wants to know your opinion of the product. None of us care if you don't like the price. Please use the discussion boards, your wallet, and your given ability to think to complain about the price of a product.
A hearty and sincere thank you from one of many people who just want real reviews of the actual product.

The price will eventually go down, and here your unwarranted 1-star review will sit, stinking up the ratings and making a fool of you. Good job. Hope you're proud of yourself.
