These stories are fairytale-esque, atmospheric, and unique. They have some interesting nature-based magic and a sweet, soft m/m romance. (More in-depth reviews for each book can be found on their individual Amazon pages, Goodreads, or my blog.)
The combination of story and audio was what really did it for me though. The narration for these novellas by Matthew Lloyd Davies was perfect. He sounded natural and made the story so engaging. Characters were easy to tell apart, their voices suited them, and Matthew’s narration and voice choices really brought them to life. Listening to these was comforting. It was like someone was reading me a bedtime story. I don’t often specifically recommend audio over text, but I really recommend the audiobooks for this duology!
