Quick and simple, it is a blog. A long entertaining blog at that. Tori's book is great.....very entertaining, and helps people see that it isnt about what you have or what it looks like you have....there is still room for unhappiness. I think a lot of readers may read it and get sick of the "poor little rich girl" talking about her horrible life, but come on......since when did material posessions (and ones you couldnt play with, at that!) buy happiness (what a cliche!) I think the reader has to look beyond "the rich girl who gets everything" and recognize that this is a woman that probably has a different love language (The Five Love LAnguages, by Dr. Gary Chapman......not a plug, just a reference) than her parents......who clearly show love by giving (maybe?).....it doesnt help when Tori feels love by spending quality time with people(example.....scooping poop with her dad, and being on the set of the first movie with Dean) and she never seems to get that time with her parents. If you would like a simple, entertaining read, get it......It made me want to read other famous people's books.
I will warn you though..... After I read the book, I got really interested in getting "so noTORIous," Tori's TV show that is based on her life. It basically took every story in the book and made it come to life. SO, if you watched the shows on VH1, then the book will be no surprise. If you havent watched the shows, but feel you should based on the book.....think twice. It might not be worth your time (sad but, I think, true). The books is far better (have you heard that before?)
