well plotted, hid ending, attention holding book.,
This review is from: Walk Two Moons (Paperback)
We all experience hardship in our life. Especially when we have to give up something we love. Just like the main character in the book Walk Two Moons. I give the book 4 out of 5 stars because it has a great plot, the author is good about hiding the ending, and it was a great attention holder.
I read the book twice about three years ago. It started as a class assignment, but it ended up being a great book.
Plotting a book is very important to an author, making this author is a pro. The book doesn't leave you wondering what just happened, but at the same time makes you keep reading to find out what will happen next. Throughout the book it gives background and explains itself so you don't get lost.
Additionally, the ending is hidden greatly through the book. Even though the story gives great details, it only gives enough to help you understand what is happening at that instant... nothing more.
Lastly, the book was amazingly interesting and holds your attention the whole time you're reading. The language is so vivid that you can picture a play-by-play of the events as they unfold. For example, there was a time in the book when the girl was describing the house where she lived before her and her father moved. You can literally picture the scene in your head.
The only downside I found throughout the whole book was that the ending is tragic.
If you are ever in a library looking for an interesting mystery, check the index of the library to see if they have it. It's well worth it.
