I had purchased the first edition of the Dog Cancer Survival Guide earlier this year when our Golden Retriever was diagnosed with Hemangiosarcoma. The book helped guide me through some very difficult and uncertain times. Just a few pages into the book I realized I needed to get my own feelings and emotions under control before I could try to help her. We followed the Dog Cancer Diet and provided recommended supplements. Our positive attitude and her diet and supplements I feel all contributed to her surviving and thriving for 112 days after her splenectomy (normal life expectancy in her particular case would have been 19-65 days). Each and every one of those days was a gift.
This new, expanded edition is an invaluable resource for all dog owners.
