Customer Review

on May 19, 2012
After reading other reviews, I was not entirely confident buying this Milo stand. Some said it barely stuck to their phone, others said it was too sticky and complained pulling their phone off the stand nearly broke the stand in two. So, I bought this and the Xtand from Simply Mobile as well and compared the two.

For the price and function, the Milo is hands down the winner. First, it is just the right amount of sticky. Other reviewers must be tripping or just looking for something to complain about because their wives just left them. The Milo fits snug on the exposed iPhone glass shell and easily pulls off for readjustment.

What is great about the Milo is that the bottom of the stand is slightly sticky as well. Now, it's not as sticky as the part that attaches to the phone, but just sticky enough to grip the aluminum laptop stand I bought, allowing me to tilt the laptop stand in bed for an optimal viewing angle, while the Milo stand keeps the iPhone in place. Granted this isn't a drastic angle, but the slight bottom grip of the Milo is exactly what I was after.

The Xtand is great. Just Mobile has made the best metal iPhone stand on the market, but the Xtand's unsticky bottom does not hold my iPhone as well on my laptop stand as the Milo. With the Milo costing nearly three times less than the Xtand, I would highly recommend it to anyone interested in purchasing.

Milo Pro's: Just the right amount of micro suction grip, sticky bottom, low cost, stylish design.

Milo Con's: Takes a few tries to place the phone level on the stand, won't get your wife back.

iPhone 5 Update: September 28, 2012

Sadly the Milo stand does not grip my iPhone 5 aluminium back, rending my poor Milo ineffective. If you have an iPhone 4 or 4s (or another phone with a flat glass back) go ahead and get this great little stand. If you have an iPhone 5, and unless I'm missing a new trick to get the Milo to stick, look elsewhere.
