Sorry for the low volume in the video I will quickly go over what I said in the video. This is a long term test, I shoot everyday and most weeks over 20K images. Rarely in extreme conditions. This is what happened to the ball head under heavy use and what you could expect after a few years of casual use. Not abuse.

The ball head is very secure and works well about 75% of the time. I have put a 600mm f4 prime on this with no issues, this is a very heavy lens.

Issues so far:

The ball head itself jams up and becomes difficult to move in certain directions. This happens at random, meaning one second there is fluid movement in the ball head and then the next it becomes very difficult to move or impossible to safely move with a lens. Happens in all directions.

The rubber grips on the adjustment nobs. In some case these spin freely. This creates problems when you need to remove a lens or make adjustments and nothing happens because the rubber is spinning but the metal knob will not turn. This seems to happen most when it is hot outside. Just to be clear in some cases I have spent 15-20 minutes just trying to remove a lens.

The plate bed where you quick release plate attaches is made of soft metal. I own several ball heads and I have never run into this problem. The plate itself is causing the bed to fall apart. This is not normal wear and tear. I have several other ball heads some with much more use an none have this problem. I really do not see this holding up long term.

Casual use it gets 4 stars
Pro use it gets 2 stars - These are Sirui's professional ball heads

If you want a ball head to last a lifetime get a RRS Ball Head which just work and stay out of your way. No knob or lock up issues and they are made out aircraft aluminum and stainless steel.
