5.0 out of 5 stars Honey Swamp – A Ghoul from the Deep South, December 5, 2013
This review is from: Monster High Frights, Camera, Action! Honey Swamp Doll (Toy)
Honey Swamp is one of the most interesting Monster High characters, but what kind of monster is she? Honey is the child of the Honey Island Swamp Monster and more reminiscent of the comic book character Swamp Thing than the rumored Bigfoot like Honey Island Swamp Monster of legend. She has bright turquoise blue skin (much brighter than she appears in the promo photos). Her body is covered with embossed twining art-nouveau styled vines. She has webbed fingers and green snake eyes with diamond slit pupils. Honey’s multiple fangs subtly show on her frosted lavender lips. Honey’s fabulous two toned afro (mint green and teal blue) is the perfect complement for this doll. She is just gorgeous.

Honey is wearing a dress that has a lavender top with black lace collar. The over skirt of her dress has a turquoise, coral and purple print featuring thorny vines and evil roses. The underskirt is is a feathery black material. Honey’s accessories include a headband with a pink voodoo vixen hat, pear earrings and bracelet, a pink rose and vine belt and some amazing shoes. These pink alligator shoes have to be seen to be appreciated – the toe of the shoe is an alligator face – fangs and all – and the back/heel of the shoe is a spiny alligator tail. Honey’s accessories include her movie camera and clap board, a hairbrush, doll stand and her diary.

Like all Monster High dolls, Honey Swamp is very detailed, but also delicate – she is made for collecting and gentle play. Honey is part of the newly released Frights, Camera, Action! / Hauntlywood line of Monster High Dolls. According to her autobiography she is a perfectionist that enjoys photography and hopes to become a cinematographer. She is a sweet, well-mannered southern girl from New Goreleans, and is 115 in swamp monster years.

Lyndsay says:
If you think that Monster High dolls are delicate, you might have gotten a defective doll. I have 15 and they are all great! I do, however, have a Briar doll from the EAH line whose leg snapped off at the knee. But out of about 25 dolls, I have only seen 2 of them break.
