Customer Review

on August 2, 2011
By Karol Ladd (Harvest House Publishers, 2011)

On the back cover of this book, a question is asked, "Is Self-Confidence Enough?" Delving into this book with a fresh looking pink flower in a clear vase on the cover, it is evident that the words stated within the pages speak to the core of one's being, instead of merely focusing on the exterior viewpoint of an individual.

This book is divided into six parts: Transform Your Thinking (Part One), Grow in Christ (Part Two), Step Forward (Part Three), Be Your Best (Part Four), Strengthen Your Relationships (Part Five), and Shine with Joy (Part Six). There is a notes section at the back of the book where you can jot down some of your thoughts.

Bundled with Bible verses, insightful tidbits, and stories, this book will assist in guiding you to finding confidence in God instead of only seeking it within your own self. This book will help you cast your fishing pole, fully trusting God and having faith that He is with you, both now and always.

"Confidence grows on the foundation of Christ-knowing who He is and that He created you and redeemed you," (Ladd, 2011, p. 53). This book would make an excellent personal read, as well as a great group or Sunday school study; this book would make a special gift for someone in need of comfort and encouragement.
