Vaquero Adapter Kit for Ipod,
Verified Purchase(What's this?)
This review is from: Kawasaki K10400-040 iPod Adaptor Kit (Automotive)
I just bought the Vaquero and LOVE the bike. However, I hate local radio; same songs you've heard 20 years ago and more commercials than ants on cake. I checked into getting a satellite radio for the bike but the price was insane. So my next option was purchasing the Ipod adapter cable. It snaps onto the cable harness just inside the left comparment on the fairing. From there, you snap your ipod into the connector and it's set! I am very pleased with this item and totally recommend it to those that have the Vaquero and hate local radio as much as I do!

I am looking at a ipod nano, but think i also will need an adapter for it to work with the ipod adapter cable as well, does the 30 pin connect directly to the ipod itself or do i need anything else.

Hi! Yes, you need to get an adapter that your ipod plugs into AND that other end plugs into the radio/speaker system of the bikes stereo system. That cost me $100 and the ipod $50. It's still cheaper than satellite and I control what I want to listen.
