Thought-provoking Mother and Daughter Story,
Verified Purchase(What's this?)
This review is from: Living in Color (Kindle Edition)
When a successful photo-newsjournatlist Sabrina Bishop returns home after the death of her physically abusive father, she realizes her mother Ruby is a long way from being ready to re-enter the world. Unable to get her mother settled in an acceptable apartment, she takes her mother on a road trip to Mt. Rushmore.
The journey these two woman take is one of desperation, frustration, self-knowledge and finally one of love and hope. It will make every woman think of her mother and the relationship they have.
I didn't expect the inspirational element, but it's character-driven and appropriate.
A rewarding story for this reader. And just so you know there's a bit of romance toward the end. :-D
