I'm supposed to start tomorrow and already I am dreading it. Some of the items in the first 4-day phase I know I will not be able to eat, they will gag me (fat free cream cheese mixed with tomatos, fat free ricotta with black pepper. Really, can't I just have a nice cold glass of skim milk? But I have no idea how many calories to substitute with, the book doesn't help here.) I spent a long time trying to come up with a shopping list so I could do my swaps, but I found the book so frustrating. The essentials of the diet are scattered over so many sections, I am just going to have to shove a lot of bookmarks in. The binding is tight and it would be really helpful if I could lay it flat, like a spiral bound edition. I have to wonder if they road-tested this diet as it is currently published. I anticipate there will be a lot of edits, so if you want to try the diet, consider waiting for a later version. This one not user-friendly in my opinion. The daily menus will be a time and money challenge, lots of new ingredients for me. Perhaps things will go much better than I am expecting?
