Verified Purchase(What's this?)
This review is from: Italian Wines 2012 (Paperback)
I have been using these guides to help me select wines for my considerable celler for over a decade. Without a doubt the last word on Italian Wine. I would not consider a case purchase without consulting the Italian Wine Guides.

Anyone using the 2012 or 2013 GR guide to decide what Italian wine to buy may want to consider having his or her head examined. There is nothing within these past two vintage editions that tell's one anything about the wine itself. It has become, after the 2011 edition, nothing but a cataloque of what wines are made in Italy. You are better off reading Antonio galloni's reviews on erobertparker.com, or soon, on his own website at www.antoniogalloni.com. Whether you share/agree with his palate or not, his reviews are at least offer descriptions of what you can expect.
