So the only reviewers here who don't like the book are people who disagree with Garner politically? Hmmm.,
This review is from: The Garner Files: A Memoir (Hardcover)
I'm not going to comment on the book. Others have done well with that. However, I note with wry appreciation the fact that the ONLY negative comments have come from people who (A.) disagree with Garner politically and (B.) can't spell or type. I detect a pattern.

What's really scary though is that it's not just on this forum. It's ALL of them. Great reviews except from those who apparently think it's all right to assassinate the character of a person who has done nothing more than disagree with their political views. I guess they can't understand how petty they make themselves look with this kind of attitude. Sad.

John ~ You don't get it either. It's not that you disagree - it's the WAY you disagree. We're perfectly fine with you having a differing opinion. It's YOU who aren't fine with our differing with you. I can't BELIEVE the way I've been treated for saying that I disagree with something.
On another forum the Rights were "discussing" Garner's being a liberal. They called all liberals "libtards," Called Garner unprintable names and ended up calling me a "turd." Now, really. All I said was ask if he didn't have as much right as they do to disagree with THEM. Obviously, it's not okay to disagree with anyone who worships King Ronald.
It's scary, really. The venom drips down my monitor, and I'm not what anyone would call a liberal - well, I guess SOME would at that.

Idiotic comment. The reason people disagree with Garner politically is because he makes such a big deal about it in a book that isn't about politics.

I'm sure you as his daughter want to defend him--but the politics in the book is WAY over the top and very disappointing that he claims he can't even understand how conservatives think. This from a guy who mooched off everyone else his first 25 years of life.

Jim Beaver says:
His politics are a large part of his life. His book is about his life. The only thing idiotic here is the fact that you'd never have posted this if his politics agreed with yours.

There you go again, spewing base canards about a man who has worked his entire life and has been on his own since the age of 13. He never "mooched" off ANYONE. Even when living with relatives, he still had a job. If you had any integrity at all, you would admit that you are WAY off base on this at least. But then, I can't understand the way you think either.
If I were the Garners, I'd sue your ass, you hate-blinded ignoramus.
