It starts slow but give it time and the game really starts to breathe. You play as four different characters (you can later switch between them) as they try to unravel a mystery that binds them all together.
The gameplay is mostly combat-based with multiple kinds of quest. Think of it as combat-centric GTA without cars, and about 12 different mini-games.
I've sunk 80 hours into it and found it infinitely more arresting and varied than GTA, eventually. As it does start out slow and continue strong.
Definitely a purchase I'm happy with. Makes my PS3 feel less like a paperweight that plays Blu Ray discs I don't need.
